Companies like KPMG, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Amazon, Deloitte, EY, LINC, OYO, Coca-Cola, RPSG Group, and many more come to the campus for placement and SIP. The highest stipend for this year's SIP was 1 lac, with the average being Rs 50,500.

IMI Kolkata charges an application fee for the registration in the PGDM program. It charges INR 2250. This fee can be paid via the online mode on the official website of the college.

Students have a wide range of electives to choose from in the PGDM programme at IMI Kolkata. PGDM students are allowed to take courses from two areas of specialisation, one as a major and the other as a minor.
