I'm really happy with my IIFM journey.
Placements: IIFM Bhopal has maintained almost 100 percent placements in recent batches, with the highest package reaching around 20.5 LPA and the average package staying near 10.3 LPA. Leading companies such as PwC, EY, S&P Global, ICICI Bank, Fincare SFB, and Aditya Birla regularly recruit from the campus across sustainability, operations, and development sectors. Students receive roles in sustainability management, project management, carbon business, general management, and research. Students also secure PPOs based on their internship performance and skill set.
Infrastructure: IIFM Bhopal offers an academic environment with Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, computer labs, a peaceful library, one of the best libraries among environmental management institutes, and a wide range of books, journals, and digital resources. The campus is spread across lush green forested surroundings, creating a serene beauty. Hostels are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The mess facilities are also good, and the canteen offers additional snacks and meals. Medical facilities are available on campus, visiting doctors, and ambulance services. The campus has sports infrastructure, including both indoor and outdoor sports. The facilities are reliable, comfortable, and supportive for both academic and extracurricular needs.
Faculty: Professors are really knowledgeable, some are research scientists as well. Teaching quality is practical-based wherever needed. The course curriculum is relevant to the roles that are actually to be performed in organisations. Semester exams are a little difficult, you need to be very attentive during classes to score well. Relatively, grading is done.
Other: As I had a background in agriculture, I developed a keen interest in knowing more about this forestry management course. I felt that this is something different, which covers real issues right now faced by the world to reach towards SDG with balancing the environment and human society.

A great college for management and sustainability aspirants.
Placements: 100 percent placement as of now reported from PGD-FM and PGD. The average package can be considered as 10.3 LPA. According to placement data, some of the major recruiters are Vedanta, EY, Hindalco, and PwC. The placement structure is well furnished with various opportunities. The curriculum prepares you well through internships, field visits, and practical assignments. Intern recruiters include the Ministry of Environment and the Forest Wildlife Institute of India, and many more.
Infrastructure: The campus spans 230 acres, approximately situated on a lush green hilltop. The architecture is beautiful, incorporating open walk yards, classrooms are air-conditioned, the auditorium is well-maintained, and the library is multistoried. The computer centre is well-equipped; it runs GIS remote sensing software, statistical tools, etc. The library has a large print and digital collection, and an online public access catalog is available.
Faculty: Mostly, the faculty hold Ph.D. degrees. They are our subject experts, helpful as well, and they focus on developing our personality in the best possible way. They have 23 core faculty and 44 adjunct guest faculty. Many faculty members hold PhDs, and some have real-world field experience, bringing both academic and consultancy experience. They emphasize peer learning group assignments and field visits. Several students say that professors are interactive and helpful as well.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to make a career in sustainability. The curriculum is balanced. IIFM Bhopal is one of the major institute that blend studies with sustainability fieldwork internships, giving us practical exposure as well.

It is not a average B-School.
Placements: Speaking of our super seniors, the recruiters range from a diverse base, for example, consulting firms like EY to sustainability-focused companies and banks like WWF, UNDP, NABARD, and AXIS Bank. The average package is around 10 LPA, the median drops slightly to 8.8 LPA, and the highest is 20.50 LPA.
Infrastructure: The institute offers a peaceful green campus. Along with some special complimentary spots like a grassland with a view of the dam reservoir, caves, and a spot known as Bhopal Point, from where you can get an elevated view of a part of Bhopal. Classrooms are well-maintained with most facilities provided, and the mess is managed by students themselves. The menu is balanced and hygienic. The only issue is that, as the number of students increases, the dining area is not sufficient for one-time dining. Sports facilities like volleyball, badminton, and a gym are available with proper coaches.
Faculty: A very diverse, qualified, and experienced range of faculty members is present at IIFM. The course includes a mix of classroom lectures with case studies and frequent fieldwork and industrial exposure. The curriculum makes students extraordinarily industry-ready with its niche course exposure.

Vibrant campus and career focused.
Placements: Our course has nearly 100% placements, with packages ranging from 8.2 LPA to 20.5 LPA. The average package offered is 10.38 LPA. Top recruiters include Hindalco, ITC, EY, PwC, and WWF, offering roles in sustainability, ESG, and CSR. There are two internships that the college provides, summer and winter internships, where every student gets an internship through the institute.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a computer centre with 24/7 access, and advanced software like SPSS and GIS tools. The library is multi-storeyed and air-conditioned, housing over 41,000 volumes, journals, e-books, and subscriptions to databases. The programme is fully residential with proper air-conditioned hostels, common rooms, a gym, sports facilities, and gear. The mess is a student-managed mess that serves very good quality and hygienic food. Doctors visit every alternate day at the hostels; basic health care and first aid are available on campus.
Faculty: IIFM faculty are highly qualified and supportive, using case studies and fieldwork for practical learning. The curriculum is industry-relevant, making students job-ready. Exams are moderately tough but manageable, with a near 100% pass rate. Their fieldwork and experiences provide hands-on exposure to real-world scenarios.
Other: I chose IIFM's MBA in Forestry Management for its blend of management and forestry, as my background is in forestry. Best parts: fieldwork, industry exposure, and diverse roles. They could improve with more teacher integration. The campus is green and vibrant, with good facilities, events, and sports. There are fests, concerts, and events. Simply, this campus doesn't sleep; it's always alive.

Life at IIFM as a PGDSM Student.
Placements: All students were placed in the 21-23 batch. Total strength being 18. However there was no support from the institute. Rather the institute puts roadblocks in the placement process of some students. The Placement Committee is headed by the most competent professor in the institute. The students are asked to run the Student Placement Committee but autonomy is snatched when they are unable to promote FM branch at the expenses of some opportunities. The highest package offered was 21LPA (3 years xp in relevant field). The lowest was 7LPA (Fresher). The average was 14.2LPA. Median 12LPA. However, replication of this performance by any other batch is highly doubtful due to the absurd increase in batch size in a short period of time with disregard for market demand. Our batch (some) landed internships and placements from - Internships: Trove Research ( Now MSCI Carbon Markets) Galaxy Surfactant Hindalco Vedanta PwC KPMG Century Textile GAIL The Kabadiwala Urban Company UP Forest Depth. Goodera Care India GIZ VNV EMC Acuity Knowledge Partners Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd. Placements: Morningstar Sustainalytics SnP Global Ramboll Vedanta Infosys Hindalco Birla States IORA Kansai Nerolac PwC Roles Offered: Consultant Manager Analyst .
Infrastructure: Everything this great except the Wi-Fi. It is pathetic. Classrooms are naturally well lit and beautiful. The library is well stocked The mess has all things necessary including a lawn to laze around if you have time to spare after a meal. The canteen is pretty useless. But there is a Sanchi Parlour which has most things that one would need to save off hunger. It is run by Chandu Bhaiyya, of the best person you will meet on campus.
Faculty: Professors are great. Relevant but lacks in practical aspect/ application based teaching. Except for the Industrial visit and some field visits, the course is majorly theory based. However, there is a strong focus on research. Almost everyone passes. The grading is relatively. Hence, bigger batch sizes mean easier scoring.
Other: The campus is lovely. Doubt there are any MBA campuses that can give you a similar experience. The faculty is great if you are self motivated. Practical application of the courses learnt. Clean on the analytical and scientific aspects of managing sustainability in terms of control and levers for different industries.

Review of Indian Institute of Forest Management.
Placements: In our college, many students got placed with satisfactory salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and beautiful. Classrooms are good. Our college and hostel provide a noncontroversial environment for girls. The food served in the mess and canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers were approachable, passionate, and knowledgeable. Fields were very informative and provided industry exposure.
Other: I opted for a social enterprise, and I learned about the development sector on the ground.
