IIIT Kottayam has strong academics and placements, but it needs better facilities and connectivity.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is average, neither good nor bad. The curriculum is relevant, and I think it is one of the best curricula in India. It makes the students industry-ready. The exams are okay. The pass percentage may be above 90%.

Most number of startups along with placements.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They help us like friends in case of subject doubts. Many of them have graduated from top NITs and IITs, not only this they all have lots of experience. Our course curriculum helps us a lot. Because compared to many IITs and some NITs I can definitely say that our curriculum is better than those. The reason behind this is our campus follows a curriculum that is similar to that of IIIT Hyderabad which is considered one of the best curriculum. Semester exams on our campu...

It is a pretty average choice college for competitive students.

Faculty: Teachers are as helpful as any other college. Almost all of them have doctorate degrees. Their teaching is not bad at all. The course curriculum is very relevant not only for exams in the college but also for other important exams. Semester exams are not as hard as university exams but not everyone passes the exams. The pass percentage is high.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college because my college life became so bad in this college.

Faculty: Teachers only provide the slides in the classroom. The curriculum is great for CSE students. Exam patterns are not good and the grading is so complicated that you will not understand it even in the full 4 years of your college. Passing percentage is 30 percent .

Overview of Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam .

Faculty: The curriculum is good, which follows IIITH's curriculum. The faculty is friendly, and the examinations are reduced, which makes it stress-free for students. Being a IIIT, it solely depends on industry preparing subjects like CS communications and personality development.

Satisfied with Infrastructure of IIIT Kottayam.

Faculty: Some teachers are very supportive, while others display a degree of partiality. Overall, teaching quality is good, though semester exams are challenging, with a low pass rate of around 5.5. Mid-semester exams, however, are manageable.

Decent placements and developing infrastructure and facilities, but fees are slightly overpriced.

Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are mostly helpful, humble, qualified and knowledgeable about a variety of research domains. There's a lot to learn from some of them. The course curriculum is really great considering that it has some similarities to that of IIIT Hyderabad. Students can get industry ready but they need to push themselves more than anything. Semester exams have moderately difficult levels (depending on the faculty who sets the paper) with a very high pass percentage.

Continuously upgrading and developing skills relevant to the desired field enhances employability.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful with our projects, and assistants like Ph.D. scholars help us with lab activities. The curriculum is good. It helps students get internships. The question papers in midterm and semester exams are of moderate to high difficulty. The passing criteria require a 5 CGPA.

Computer Science engineering from the IIIT Kottayam.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. IIIT Kottayam offers highly experienced faculty in computer science engineering. All the teachers give necessary support and assistance to the students in getting good placements and the course curriculum of the college is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Inside Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam.

Faculty: The faculty members are just too good. Each one of them holds a doctorate from one of the most prestigious universities in the nation. The level of the exam is good enough to test your knowledge. We have one mid-semester and one end-semester. Along with that, various assignment submissions and quizzes are held on a fortnightly or sometimes weekly basis.

A great experience at IIIT Kottayam.

Faculty: Every faculty member works for the students and helps them in all aspects. Every faculty member has a good qualification from prestigious colleges like NITs and IITs. They teach us outside the box with good teaching skills, preparing students for the software industry with good knowledge. The semester exams might be a bit difficult as the course is tough in the college. The pass percentage is around 85 to 90.

Incredible campus life with stellar academics but limited placement opportunities.

Faculty: Courses are led by experienced professors and industry experts with deep knowledge in their respective fields. They provide interactive learning methods and real-world case studies that enhance understanding and practical application. Quiet zones for individual study are there, with access to extensive digital resources.

Review of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam.

The semester exams are not easy and not difficult; they are between moderate and difficult. Pass percentage is based on class performance.

College life is immensely interesting. Students can truly enjoy their time here.

Faculty: Certainly, the faculty and teachers were well-qualified, and the pass percentage was very high. Excelling in the semester exams was the surest path to securing a job. There were two exams per year, so scoring just 50 marks was manageable, but the exams were quite challenging.

Best for CSE if around 25-30k rank in Main.

Faculty: All the instructors possess diverse research degrees and industrial experience in various computer science domains, demonstrating their high qualifications. They exhibit great supportiveness and approachability in all aspects. The curriculum of the course is meticulously crafted to encompass fundamental aspects of computer science as well as industry-relevant skills, the college implements a relatively stringent grading system, making it challenging to achieve high grades. Yes, with a 13,355 JEE Main rank, you're within IIIT Kottayam's CSE cutoff range (13,510–33,766 in 2025 Round 1), so admission is very likely if category and seat availability align.
