Q: Are there any seat reservations at IIM Sirmaur?

The process of getting into IIM Sirmaur is through the CAT examination and hence there are no reservation criteria exclusively. One of the most Ethical B-Schools in the country .

Placements: The placements are still ongoing as I write the review. The highest package was around 32 LPA offered by Amazon while I don't remember the exact name of the company, but the lowest package was around 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, DE Shaw, DCM Shriram, FIITJEE, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Big 4 and others to name a few. IIM Sirmaur saw 100% Summer Internship placements for the 2024 batch. The companies were ICICI Bank, Indigo, DE Shaw, Nestled and HDFC Bank. The top roles that are usually offered to final year students are usually Management Trainee heavy. The other roles may include Consultant, Business Analyst, Sales Manager to name a few. The Placement Council is one of the most Ethical bunch of people I have seen in my life. They help the students like no other and they never force the students to opt out of placements. They make sure that each and every student gets placed even if you wind up your MBA. They sick around until the very end.

Infrastructure: Although the old campus had each and every facility required to provide quality education, the upcoming new permanent campus will be the biggest IIM of the country area wise and will have world class facilities from one of the biggest libraries in the country to top notch industry software like the Bloomberg terminals. The quality of food was subpar while the sports environment was pretty good and you get to participate in multiple sports events every month.

Faculty: IIM Sirmaur has one of the best Marketing Departments in the country. The faculty members are all PhDs from Iims and from world class universities. The curriculum is up-to date and make sure tat each and every student becomes industry ready. The semester exams' difficult level is subjective. However, if a student is able to listen to the faculty in the class, he/she can easily be in the 5percentile of the students.

A new course which is well ahead of its time with great faculty, good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: This course is very new and we are the first batch and hence the placement details will be available after the end of this year. However, the summer internship attracted some leading companies from the tourism and hospitality sector such as Marriott, IHG and Travel Triangle. Moreover, 100% of the students were placed during the summer internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. There is constant connectivity through Wi-Fi at all parts of the campus. The library is well-equipped with all your academic needs and the classrooms are spacious. The hostel rooms are spacious with the choice of single or double rooms. Moreover, the scenery is beautiful. The food is good (compared to average hostel standards). There are all kinds of sports facilities available ranging from football, cricket, badminton to billiards, carrom, chess etc.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified with good experience and great academic credentials. They are very helpful and definitely knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good but at the end of the day it depends on the student's persistence regarding his learning. The course curriculum is relevant and provides theoretical as well as practical knowledge through assignments and projects. It does make you industry ready to some extent but books alone cannot do that. You need to do live projects and internships to be industry ready and the university does well to bring such frequent opportunities for the students.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in travelling and I wanted to know more about that industry and make a career out of it. There are hordes of extracurricular activities such as fests, case study competitions, fun quizzes etc. Happening throughout the year. There are also different societies and clubs which are general and domain-based and are good enough to keep you occupied throughout the day.

IIM Sirmaur: A perfect blend of knowledge and leadership to make better future.

Placements: Being one of the premium institutes of India, IIM Sirmaur performed excellently in the final placement of 2020 with a hike of 62% in the highest package as compare to the placements of 2019. Amidst the COVID-19 situation, the institute successfully facilitated placement to 94% of the batch and gave extended placement support to the student who couldn't participate in the final placement due to the coronavirus outbreak. The highest CTC touched 26 LPA and the figure of the average package of the top 25% of the batch turned out to be exceptionally remarkable with 16.40 LPA. In the final placement, the batch had four international placements and 3 PPOs with an increase of 16.67% in the median CTC, and the average package of the batch closed around 11.28 LPA. The institute catered to more than 75 companies of the various sector in the final placement of 2020, which includes ICICI, HDFC, BYJU'S, Tech Mahindra, Muthoot Fincorp, DCM Shriram, Lenskart, JS associates, Kent Healthcare, etc. The top sectors that fetched the placement for the majority of students were BFSI with 23%, Edtech with 20%, Manufacturing with 12%, and Technology with 11%. The roles offered to the students were predominately Project Manager, Business Developer, Consultant, and Business Analyst.

Infrastructure: IIM Sirmaur has Wi-Fi enabled campus with 24x7 access to the library for study, group discussion, and other academic-related activities to be carried out by students. The library is well-equipped with proper spacing, lighting, books, electronic devices, and other resources for the students. The institute provides access to online databases such as ABI/INFORMS, Library, EBSCO, ACE Equity, and Press Reader. Also, there is a well-equipped computer lab with the latest software running on cutting-edge hardware. Moreover, IIM Sirmaur has one of the best sports facilities to conduct sports events. It has high-mast lighting for the grounds that enables students to play their favorite sports even during the nights. In addition, the institute provides a fully functional gym with all the modern and essential fitness and training equipment.

Faculty: Keeping the standard of IIMs at the peak, the Himalayan IIM has well-qualified faculty members who are the alumnus of top institutes and universities of India. The pedagogy followed by IIM Sirmaur offers the same standards of rigor as the other IIMs. The courses are well-crafted and designed in such a manner that it makes the students industry-ready to be competent and become the future leader in business. The professors are very helpful and supportive in building the base for the corporate world.

Other: For me, real-life problem solving is always more intriguing than mugging up theories and books. In the same line, management is something without which I can't think about my day. So, I wanted to capitalize on my potential in solving real management problems and risk management. In the long run of my career, I wanted to set up my own business firm in the service sector or operation management for that matter. Now, following my vision, I need to accomplish a stronghold on the core values of management and algorithm of business and somewhere down the line, IIM Sirmaur is facilitating me all the resources and environment to boost my career and goal.

In short all about Himalayan IIM.

Placements: Due to the COVID-19 situation, out of the total participants some 5-6 didn't get placed, but those guys have got relaxation till the situation is cleared and again efforts will be made for them and those participants will be provided with fair offer.

Infrastructure: Hostel of IIM Sirmaur is well equipped with modern technology. One will find unlimited use of Wi-Fi which runs 24X7. Classrooms are well maintained as per the standard of an IIM with individual seating arrangement, currently a classroom can carry 72 student in one batch so that prof can pay attention to each student's properly. Computer lab is one of the best thing of IIM Sirmaur, students can access any system any time, which are also open for 24x7. Library is also accessible for 24x7, where students can come to peace environment and study as per their need.

Faculty: Course curriculum of IIM Sirmaur is same as any another IIM, which itself is of s big deal. The pedagogy of Iims consists of case studies, assignments, projects and frameworks and practical understanding of concepts through industry examples. These are well thought in IIM Sirmaur.

Other: I have 33 months work experience, while working I realized I am more interested in management part, so I chose to do MBA. Best thing about doing MBA in IIM Sirmaur is the pedagogy, peer learning, opportunities to participate in a lot of things, college events, college fest. It's an amazing experience to learn in any IIM .

The Himalayan IIM- A perfect blend of campus and placements.

Placements: 100% of the students who opted in for placements got the offers from campus. The highest domestic package offered was 26 LPA with the batch bagging 12 LPA average package. EY, ICICI, DCM Sriram, Tech Mahindra were the top recruiters. 100% students got summer internship opportunity.

Infrastructure: The only baby IIM having separate campus and 210 Acre state of the art campus is under construction. Wi-Fi enabled campus and hostel, well-equipped gymnasium, a big grassy playground, advance classrooms, library, mess and what not. The hostel rooms are well furnished, quality of the food is commendable.

Faculty: Each and every faculty is a Ph.D. holder in their respective domain. All are having good experience of teaching. The methodology followed is at par with the all prestigious B-school around the globe. A college in its budding state still miles to go.

Placements: Very high placement conversion rate as the placement committee are doing a pretty good job in getting students placed. Recruiters both domestic and foreign come to our college to capture the brightest minds of the country. Roles are offered in the streams of marketing, finance, human resource and operations.

Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi access and labs. Hostels are double Occupancy for both year students. Mess and quality of food being served is very poor. This was a constant problem throughout the year with only little improvements. Sports and games are very nicely equipped with a high class gym facility also.

Faculty: Some of the faculty are really good and they do their work systematically and as per rules. Many of the visiting faculty showed they were the countries best professors. Whereas some teachers were really below par and you wonder if you have really come to an IIM.

Other: Annual fest can be organised better and better facilities.
