Students who are seeking admissions to the BSc programme at Jai Hind College, Mumbai need to note that the admissions are conducted on the basis of the Jai Hind College Entrance Exam. As such, there is no provision for a direct entry into the institute. But the students can check the official site for any category or course wise exceptions. For e.g the institute accepts scores from MAH CET, GATE and other exams for some courses.

The admission process for MSc courses at Jai Hind College and Somaiya Vidyavihar University is almost the same for both of the institutes. For admission, the institutes release the merit of selected students on the basis of their scores achieved in their BSc degrees. Moreover, there is one major difference between both of the institutes, i.e., Jai Hind College accepts the scores of some entrance examinations for admissions to some of the MSc specialisations. However, SVU Mumbai only offers admissions to MSc courses based on merit.

If we compare the admission process, SVU Mumbai accepts the scores of the entrance examination for admission to BSc course, and Jai Hind College offers admission on the basis of merit. If a candidate has good scores in the higher senior secondary or equivalent, they can get admission at Jai Hind College by merit. On the other hand, if candidates have not secured satisfactory scores in Class 12, they can perform well in the entrance examination, like CUET or SVU ET, to enrol at Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
