4.8
Strong infrastructure and better campus life with average food quality.
Placements: Around 80% students were placed last year. The highest package was of 20 LPA and the lowest was of 3.5 LPA, and the average was around 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Bajaj India, Cognizant, etc. Around 75% students got internships in companies like Wipro, TCS, etc. Top roles were Web developer, system engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: We have 24/7 access to the library, and 24/7 Wi-Fi is also available. All the classrooms and Labs have AC. Hostel rooms are also available in hygienic and clean conditions. Food quality is average and depends up on hostels. Multiple courses and research Labs are available along with a mentor for guidance.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and helpful. Many teachers have their IITs, NITs, etc. with good teaching skills. There are some exceptions, but overall they are all good. Curriculum is relevant, but students have to do some other work on their own. There are different societies available, with seniors and mentors always ready to help. Exams are moderately difficult. Pass percentage is around 85%.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027
5.0
Review of KIIT School of Electronics Engineering, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.
Placements: The placement opportunities available at KIIT are at par with those of tier-1 and tier-2 colleges. A good number of companies come for recruitment. Similar to the top institutes like IITs and NITs, it always has diligent students with the right skill set who shine. The major difference is that here, to stand out, one needs to have an impressive resume to get that extra edge and get a job.
Infrastructure: It boasts modern infrastructure with supplementary resources. The library contains a diverse collection of books, novels, and journals. The canteen is spacious, offering a variety of food items in comfortable seating. A large number of students reside in the hostel, which is well-managed. The food provided is also satisfactory and meets basic quality standards.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. We need to be regular in classes. Almost all students pass through exams. The syllabus here is somewhat random dots, and we need to connect them to become industry-ready. Semester exams are at a good level, and we need to prepare well to pass the semester exams.

    Good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed in the ETAC (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) course is around 85%. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the lowest is 7 LPA, with an average of 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Mu Sigma, Bajaj India, Cognizant, etc. 80% of students get internship opportunities. Top roles include Web Developer, System Engineer, and Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good, with almost 24-hour Wi-Fi availability, and the library is also very good. Coming to the hostel, many types of rooms, but the quality of some hostels is below average. Medical facilities are good, although football courts are less in comparison to other sports. Overall, sports are good.
Faculty: Teachers are good and highly qualified, though a few exceptions are always there. The teaching quality is good, no doubt about that. The course is very much industry-relevant, and it has well-equipped laboratories too. The difficulty level of the semester exams depends on students and their preparation. The exams are not that tough, according to me, and the pass percentage is almost 94%.

Review of Kalinga Industrial Institute of Technology.
Placements: The total percentage of students placed in my course is nearly 78 percent. The highest package is 65 LPA, the lowest package is 8 LPA, and the average package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Wipro, Amazon, and other giants. The percentage of students who get internships is about 50 percent.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are top-notch. The Wi-Fi gives a powerful network speed of 10 Mbps. Labs and classrooms are equipped with all the features. The library is also open 24/7. The quality of facilities in the hostel is very good, and the staff and wardens are very well. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very approachable and helpful. They are always ready to help us, and during exam time, they take extra classes to solve our doubts. This course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams in college are a little bit tough, but if anyone studies a bit every day, then it's not a big deal.
Other: I chose this because I want to learn electronic and electrical engineering and want to become one, as my father is also an AI engineer. The best thing about our course is that facilities and professors are always ready to help us, and we can take their help and learn new things.

Good infrastructure and good event management.
Placements: I'm currently in 3rd year so I don't have any experiences yet but as I got to know from my seniors, most of them got placed in good IT companies like TCS, Microsoft, High Radius, etc. The average package is about 10 LPA. Since the last year, there has been a placement problem with many of my seniors. Our batch is getting ready for the placement sessions for the next semester (7th sem).
Infrastructure: There is a good availability of Wi-Fi on our campus. There are various laboratories based on electronics and software which provide great access for students' enhancement of their skills. Classrooms are well designed for study and air-conditioners are provided in each classroom along with smartboards and whiteboards. We have departmental libraries and a central library (the main library for the college). Hostel facilities are good as well. They are divided into premium and non-premium. They have a sports complex, canteen, and food court. The food quality of the mess in the hostel is average.
Faculty: Teachers of our department are very professional and knowledgeable. They provide a good base for students. They are very helpful and understanding as well. Course curriculum is very relevant to the outer world, which is the corporate world and helps students prepare for their future. Semester exams are moderately difficult but with regular preparation and regular attendance in classes, it's not that difficult to score a good CGPA.
Other: I chose B.Tech because I wanted to go for the technical field since childhood. I wanted to pursue this course because it will enhance my technical skills and make me ready for the technical world. As of now, there is no such thing that I would suggest for improvement. There are various events in our college like expos, fest, various orientations, and various festival celebrations like Ganesh Chaturthi and Saraswati Puja. We even have a Jagannath Temple at our college (KISS).

KIIT through the eyes of a second year student.
Placements: Nearly 90-95% of students get placed. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, and Infosys Top roles offered are SDE, etc. The highest package is 23 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. A student possessing good coding and critical thinking skills gets an internship. Some companies are HighRadius, PhysicsWallah, and Unacademy.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are all air-conditioned. They have smart interactive panels and also whiteboards for a better understanding. Labs are not that well-equipped but according to me, it is sufficient. There is also a departmental library on the campus, continuing both hard and soft copies of electronics-related books. You will be provided with a mattress, study table, and chair along with a wardrobe if you opt for a hostel facility. The mess food is not that good in comparison to the amount that is being taken as catering charge You get access to the food court outside the hostel.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite helpful but some are not. They will constantly guide you to succeed in your career goals. The teaching quality varies from professor to professor. Some professors give notes for better understanding but some do not. The course will not make students industry-ready but will make their basics clear about electronics. So some upgradation in the course structure is also needed. Semester exams for subjects like electromagnetics, physics, and maths might pose difficulty. But attending each class on your weak subject and not missing a single one will help to understand the concepts. 40% is the pass percentage.
Other: I took this course to upskill my knowledge in the field of electronics. Some best things about the course are designing analog circuits, PCB designing, and VLSI designing. KIITFEST takes place in the month of February which is considered as the annual fest of the year. Apart from this, KI3 is also conducted in December which is an innovation fest where students of all branches can showcase their innovative ideas. KIIT is well-connected through all types of road transport. Bhubaneswar railway station is just 10 km away from the college. Scholarships are provided to the ones securing more than 9.90 CGPA.
