Average college, poor placements, minimal support, and somehow surviving it.
Placements: So far, neither my batchmates nor I have been placed. It is honestly disappointing that none of us has been placed yet. College has not really helped much with placements or opportunities. We completed our course expecting support, but that did not really come. Now we are just left figuring things out on our own. It feels unfair.
Infrastructure: At Lalbaba College, there is no Wi-Fi available. People say there is a lab, but no one has actually seen it. The classrooms are like any typical tier-3 government college, with a capacity of 70–90 students. There is a library which is decent, neither very good nor very bad.
Faculty: A few teachers are helpful and supportive, but many faculty members are not. Some genuinely guide us with the curriculum and projects, while others seem to be just going through the motions. Exams are generally of moderate difficulty, not too tough and not particularly easy either.
Other: I mainly joined to get my graduation degree so I could pursue higher studies. The gap between exams used to be long, but after COVID, it was reduced drastically. In my Accounting Honours course, most students knew how to solve problems, but their actual understanding was quite low. Apart from a few events like Holi and Saraswati Puja, the college does not organize many fests or extracurricular activities.

I am dissatisfied with college because there are no job placements, and it could be better.
Placements: In my course, there are many students but no one wants to come to college and attend classes. There are no placements in our college. No roles are offered. There are no placements, so no packages are offered. The college only offers us summer internships and gives us only a certificate.
Infrastructure: Facilities are below average. Classrooms are dusty. There is Wi-Fi in the college but it is not for students. The library is good for students who want to read books peacefully. Our college does not have a hostel. The quality of the food in the canteen is very disgusting.
Faculty: I am in the morning section, and there are no classes by the teachers. Faculty members are qualified but not as knowledgeable as we want. Teaching quality is below average. Students here do not become ready for exams. The passing rate in this college is very low.
Other: There should be more fests, annual functions, and sports activities.

If who want placements do hurry and join our college. It is one of the best colleges in WB.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 50,000-80,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is around Rs. 25,000-30,000 per month. About 70% of students got placements in our college. There are many recruitment companies which take an interest in our college. High-level ranked positions can be obtained through courses available in our college.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi. Labs are not available in our course. Our classrooms are in better condition. A library is available for students. There is no mess. A canteen is not available in our college. If you want to eat something you have to go outside of the college. There's not any playground for any type of outdoor sports activities. There are many medical and hospitals nearby the college which gives a good reputation to the college for medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are only helpful when you are cooperative with them. If you make any mistake, they act like they don't know you. Semester exams at the start are not very hard but the difficulty level increases as the semester increases. Courses are based on real-life applications and help students to be ready for future tasks and opportunities.
Other: I chose this course because provides a large number of opportunities in the private sector in the future. Many events are organised in our college. Sometimes celebrities are invited to concerts and other live programs.

Helpful and friendly staffs.
Placements: Lots of students got placements through our college, the starting package was 3LPA and the max. Package ever secured was 5LPA. More than 60% students got placements in high profile corporate companies. In the year 2019 our college had delivered record 80% of their students into corporate placements, this news was also published in anandabazar patrika.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite well and even smart rooms are available for smart classes, though the college has adopted new technologies it needs to have someone who is used to with these technologies
The staffs also requires trainings, so that they can teach the students using new technologies.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and knowledgeable, the quality of teaching is good and everyone follows a friendly behaviour with the students, especially the SUPW professor, he teaches the students in such friendly and exciting way that not a single student thinks about missing his classes

Our college is very good.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our college. The salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, etc. Almost 80% of students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. Wi-Fi has a decent speed with which we can download any software or application within a minute. Our library is good and spacious. More than 100 students can be seated at once.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and talented. They always help students. They graduated from very renowned institutes. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 90%.
