Institute Presents Former Director of IIM Ahmedabad Bakul Dholakia with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award
October 20, 2022: Delhi - Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar has given former IIM Ahmedabad director and Padma Shri Bakul Dholakia the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for his excellent work in the management field. The Vice President's House's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Conference Hall served as the venue for the award presentation. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management is giving away an award that includes a citation, a memento, and a monetary prize of Rs 5 lakh.

The award honours a notable person each year who has excelled in his chosen sector, according to Shri Anil Shastri, Chairman LBSIM, in his welcoming speech.
In addition, Dr Bakul Dholakia served as the International Management Institute of Delhi's director general. He was the Director of the Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhuj as well as the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management before to joining IMI. Dr. Dholakia has a doctorate in economics and graduated with a gold medal from Baroda University. He has worked professionally for 47 years, including 33 at IIM Ahmedabad.
