Review of Maharana Institute of Professional Studies.
Placements: Placements are good in MPGI. 70% of students get placed in different companies. Infosys is the top recruiting company.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. There are big grounds and the best canteen. The mess is also very good, and they give high priority to hygiene.
Faculty: Faculty is very supportive and always helps weak students to rise. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in the college.
Other: I would like to be a software developer, so I decided to do a B.Tech in CSE. Since I was a child, I have had a great attachment to computers.

Good college for professional courses with decent placement support. Vibrant campus life.
Placements: Approximately 80% of eligible students got placed. The highest package from my batch is 27 LPA. The highest package from college is 49 LPA. Top roles offered for graduates from this course include business analyst, software developer, consultant, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-stocked library, well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, and a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The hostel rooms are generally decent, with two students per room, and include basic facilities like a bed, table, and almirah. The college has a doctor's clinic on campus for basic medical aid. For sports, there are facilities for outdoor games like cricket and volleyball.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable in theory, and a few are excellent, approachable, and supportive. The curriculum is relatively modern and includes relevant subjects like AI and ML. It is not fully helpful to be fully industry-ready. I follow a curriculum of AKTU (affiliated). There are 2 mid exams, 1 pre-university exam, and then university exam. Between semesters, there may be a surprise test for students.
Other: I chose B.Tech in CSE for my passion for technology and its career prospects. The best aspects of my course are the supportive faculty and modern curriculum. I wish there were more practical knowledge from the faculty. The college has a strict 90% attendance policy and hosts annual fests like the Winter Carnival. Sports events include APEX and the Maharana Pratap Premier League (MPPL), and there are coding competitions like Intra SIH and Intra Hackathon. The campus crowd is mainly from nearby cities like Kannauj, Farrukhabad, and Kanpur. The college also facilitates government and merit-based scholarships.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025

Not worth it for those who want only to study.
Placements: I did BCA and graduated this year, in 2025. The percentage of students placed from my course is around 10%, and I am one of the 10% of students who got placed. The highest package for BCA students is 8.7 LPA, and the minimum would be 3 LPA. Many companies come to our college, like Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, Jaro, Learning Routes, etc. But there are no internship placements available from the college, so it is a negative point. After doing BCA, you'll be offered an associate role.
Infrastructure: So, I will give it 4 stars for that because I like the infrastructure and facilities of the college; it is quite good, so a thumbs up from my side. I am a day scholar, so I really don't have any idea about the hostel, but one of my friends is a hosteler, so according to him, rooms are decent but the food is not good.
Faculty: So, personally, I don't like the faculty of MPGI; some are good, but some are not. Students themselves have to put in a lot of effort to grasp the concepts. But the examination system of MPGI is quite good. They conduct three exams in college: Mid-1, Mid-2, and PUT before the final exam.
Other: I don't think it is value for money. Keeping events and everything aside, the faculty should be good, but it is not. And if talking about campus life, it is good, and MPGI is crowded, too; many students study there. They organize lots of events and fests, so that part is quite happening about the college.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2027

Our college is one of the popular colleges of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Placements: 99% of students are placed. The highest package given to Shruti Omer is 50 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and Microsoft. BBA students are mostly placed at TCS and Amazon. This college is very much suitable for the students. This college provides good quality education.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very beautiful in this college. Hostel facilities are average. Wi-Fi does not work in hostel. For BBA students labs are not provided as much as we need. Hostel needs a lot of improvement. No proper management in hostel. We get sick after eating the food from our mess.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is relevant. Semester exam is quite difficult and sometimes it exceeds the level of difficulty to the maximum. But teachers prepare the students for that difficulty very well.
Other: I chose BBA because I am very much keen in corporate sector, and wanted to pursue MBA after some experience.

My BCA experiences both the good and the gaps.
Placements: Around 70–75% of students placed in our BCA course. The highest package offered is 8.5 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA, and the average package stands at around 3.6–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, Capgemini, and Zoho. About 60–65% of students receive internship opportunities through the college or external platforms. Companies offering internships vary across domains.
Infrastructure: Our BCA department has well-equipped computer labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a resourceful library. Hostels are decent, with basic facilities and average mess food. The canteen offers affordable snacks. Medical aid is available on campus, with a nearby hospital for emergencies. Sports facilities include both indoor games and outdoor fields. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory, with supportive faculty and improving amenities. It makes a good environment for learning and development.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and have good subject knowledge. Most of them are approachable. They support students with doubts and project guidance. The teaching quality is decent, with a mix of theory and practical sessions. The course curriculum is relevant and covers programming, databases, networking, and soft skills, but extra certifications become fully industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty and concept-based, with some theoretical questions. The pass percentage is quite high. Around 85–90%. Students attend classes and study regularly.
Other: I chose the BCA course because of my interest in computers and software development. The best part of the course is the mix of theory and practical knowledge. They provide supportive faculty and good placement assistance. Regular events, tech fests, and extracurricular activities make campus life engaging. The campus crowd is friendly and diverse, with decent connectivity and surroundings. Scholarships are available for deserving students. However, I wish there were more industry tie-ups, guest lectures, and advanced lab facilities. With slight improvements in infrastructure and real-world exposure, the course can become even more effective in making students industry-ready.

I chose B.Tech CSE due to my interest in IT. The best thing is basic exposure to programming.
Placements: Around 50% students got placed in my batch. The highest package is about 6 to 7 LPA, the lowest is near 2 LPA, and the average is around 3 LPA. Top recruiters included HCL, Wipro, and Informatica. A few got internships in mid tier firms with roles like trainee and developer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. Labs and classrooms are usable but not modern, Wi-Fi is limited, and the library is okay. Hostel facilities are basic with simple food, average mess quality, and limited sports facilities. Medical support is minimal, so it is average.
Faculty: Faculty is average, some teachers are supportive, but overall, teaching lacks depth. Curriculum is outdated and not very industry oriented. Exams are of moderate difficulty, mostly theory based, with around 70 to 80% pass rate due to lenient checking as a summary.
Other: The fees charged by the college are average in return. Placements and facilities could be better, but basic academics and exposure are provided. Students need to put extra effort outside the curriculum to get industry ready.
