Other: It is a good college but very busy from election and other shows. Study is good and money is less and safety for girls provided by collage. LAN connection is available for computer lab. Teachers are corporative and helps student very much. I would recommend this college.

Placements: I believe not every government college provides placements. It depends on the individual’s efforts. If you want good placement opportunities, I think you should choose professional courses, as they offer many opportunities. My college does not provide placements, so you should consider better options. I am a student of this college.
Infrastructure: Maheshtala College boasts functional infrastructure that includes multiple buildings, laboratories, a library, and sports facilities, with a focus on green spaces and ICT integration. The college has three main buildings housing classrooms, laboratories, the library, and administrative offices. It also features a canteen, common rooms, a gym, and a girls' hostel. The college emphasizes a blend of traditional and modern teaching methods, incorporating ICT and student-centric approaches.
Faculty: Department of Computer Science offers an undergraduate degree in Computer Science under the University of Calcutta. The Computer Science department of Maheshtala College started its journey in the year 2001, initially offering only the General Course. From the year 2005, the department began offering the honours course. The primary goal of the department is to provide both basic and advanced quality education in Computer Science at the undergraduate level.

Placements: Maheshtala College has a placement cell that assists students with job placement and career counseling. While the college doesn't have a high placement rate, it does offer some placement opportunities, particularly for B.Sc. graduates. Many students also opt for higher studies or government jobs. The college also organizes job fairs in collaboration with Calcutta University.
Infrastructure: Maheshtala College boasts a diverse infrastructure catering to academic and recreational needs. The campus includes multiple buildings housing classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, and a library. It also features a canteen, common rooms, and sports facilities, including a gym. The college is known for its green space and integration of ICT-based learning.
Faculty: It is a Grants-in-Aid co-education college, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, catering to three streams: Arts, Science, and Commerce. There are a total of 15 academic departments, out of which nine are in the Arts stream, five in the Science stream, and one in the Commerce stream, with Honors in 12 subjects.
Other: College building is set up on a campus measuring 0.787 acres / 3188 sq. M.
