About MANIT Bhopal (placement, campus life and hostel).
Placements: In my opinion, only some companies come for core placements. There is a lot of competition in the core sector. The main issue is that we still have an old syllabus, which is a disadvantage. The college follows an old curriculum, so students have to learn new and updated topics on their own through YouTube or paid courses. However, the companies that visit the college are very good and provide good placement opportunities. Overall, placements from the core sector are average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for Electronics and Communication is not that good because there is no separate department or building like ECE and EE. We have classes in the main building itself, which is not very convenient. However, the hostel infrastructure is very good. I would give it 5 stars. The hostel vibe is very good, and students can definitely enjoy their time there.
Faculty: Talking about faculty and exams, faculty members are very good and teach the curriculum properly. However, the college does not have the new curriculum that we want. Faculty members teach well, and the exams are conducted strictly. The campus is disciplined. The management has several systems to maintain discipline. Overall, faculty, curriculum, and examination system are good, although the curriculum is still old.
Other: I chose this college because, according to the NIRF ranking. The college is ranked among the top colleges, and its placement opportunities are comparable with highly ranked institutes such as NIT Warangal. I get ECE here, and I think it is a very good college from a placement point of view. That is one of the main reasons I joined this college. There are good placement opportunities. Overall, I feel the money is worth it for this college.

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2029

College life is full of unforgettable memories, great friends, and a homely feeling.
Placements: There is good placement for B.Tech, but not for architecture. Many companies like Google, Bajaj, Zomato, Swiggy, etc. come for placements. Students are given examples based on examinations. There are shortlisting programs through interviews, and then students get placements.
Infrastructure: The girls' hostel is pretty good. The food is okay, and the restrooms are good. One hostel has attached washrooms, while the other has common washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty of architecture is experienced and good. Many of them are pass-outs from the same college. They teach well and are very experienced and have good knowledge about the subjects they are allotted. They are aged and have great experience in the field. About my course, I am in the Bachelor of Architecture course. We do a lot of designing work and field visits during our semesters in architecture.
Other: There are many fests, and many big stars come to the college.

Overall, a good experience, but you have to work a bit hard.
Placements: In my course, i.e., ECE, the placement percentage is around 75% as per the 2024 stats. It is low, but it could also decrease in the coming years as the new dean is not very supportive of alumni. The top companies are Deloitte, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Samsung R&D. The percentage of students getting internships is very low. The top roles are mainly in the tech sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostels are really good because it has everything except AC. Sometimes water can be a problem, but it is not a major issue that troubles you much. Labs, Wi-Fi, and classrooms are decent, but during high loads, they become faulty. The mess food is below average, like any NIT, but the sports facilities are good in every hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum is somewhat comparable to the traditional curriculum that our parents studied. But there have been some changes that make it a bit more interesting, with business-related subjects like entrepreneurship. However, the semester exams are very difficult for a person to score a 9โ€“9.5 CGPA.
Other: Fests are the best part of college life. So are the people you spend time with throughout the day. The crowd here is decent. I chose this course because of its popularity, as ECE is emerging so well. The best thing about the ECE branch at MANIT Bhopal is that you don't get much time for distractions because the course is very hectic. The campus has good connectivity. There are many societies for extracurricular activities.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2028

4.0Placements5.0Infrastructure5.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
This college is not as good as expected.
Placements: 75 to 80 seniors get placed. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the lowest package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, Adobe, and Amazon. Around 10โ€“15% of seniors get internships. The top role offered is MERN Developer. In the last 2โ€“3 years, there have been some placement issues. Many seniors are not placed through campus recruitment and try to get jobs off campus.
Infrastructure: There are no very good facilities on our campus because it is quite old. The computers and classrooms are old. Some hostels are good, while some are the worst. The food quality is better than in many other NITs. Good medical facilities are available on campus, and there are many canteens.
Faculty: Teachers on our campus are not very helpful and often have an ego. Some teachers do not have proper subject knowledge. The teaching quality is very poor. They do not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult, and many tough questions appear in the exams.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2029

The college is quite good. The teaching faculty needs to improve itself for students.
Placements: I got to know from seniors that the placements in electrical engineering are quite good here. This time around, 93% students got placed. Other students choose Master's or doing startup, but the interesting part is that the students who are placed are mostly in finance.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all the general facilities such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library for all the departments. In our department, there are many laboratories. The hostel room size is good, but the washrooms are not cleaned properly, and the mess does not have enough workers.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is quite good, they come on time and do their job properly. The most interesting part is that most of them had done their PhD from many IIT's. They try to teach new technologies to make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is generally about 50-60%, if you attend all the classes, it can be achieved easily.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

An average college that is going to become the best in the upcoming years.
Placements: 50 percent of students got placed. That's not much because we don't get support in our core ECE side as companies of the core don't visit our campus for placement and internships. Only 1 student has been picked overall in core by AMD but in tech there are many offers and ECE students are allowed in almost every tech company. Last year, Zomato offered 56 LPA to a student it was the highest and the average was around 11 LPA-14 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as good as you expect from an NIT but it's okay as it is developing slowly and in a few years everything will be good. The Wi-Fi is weak in the college and we face internet and network issues in the whole college as it's on a high altitude. The food quality in the mess is okay and the hostels are really good. There is a good medical facility and sports opportunities are ample.
Faculty: The teachers vary from department to department. Every professor is different. Some are good and some are not. The course curriculum is not fully relevant as they are still living in an old ideology which sometimes backfires I think so. The exams are not that difficult. You can study a day before and pass easily in every subject. Almost everyone here gets passed.
Other: I chose it because ECE was going to become one of the top branches in the upcoming years. The blend of practical and theory would bring some interest to the students of the course and would improve the placement as well. Events and fests are not that good I would say as we are not given the full permission and budget so we aren't able to plan them well.
