Multinational Companies such as Google, Amazon, General Electric, etc., also visit the campus and take students for various roles, Even the summer internships are quite satisfactory.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Read this before taking admission in MNNIT.
Placements: In my course (B.Tech Chemical Engineering) at MNNIT, about 78% of students were placed last year. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the average package is 11 LPA. The data for the lowest package is not available, but in my opinion, it cannot be less than 5 LPA. These are considered decent packages (not great) for NIT placements. Talking about top recruiters, we have FAANG companies, which mostly recruit CSE students. But many other top tech companies are recruiting students from all branches, including the Chemical department. Core and consulting placements are also decent for Chemical Engineering.
Infrastructure: It was quite surprising for me to find that the hostel mess has AC. Apart from that, there are many facilities like washing machines, AC in hostel common rooms, refrigerators in the mess for common use, and an induction in the mess for late-night cooking. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and the library, and it works okay. The food is decent to good in taste, and hygiene is properly maintained. There is a dispensary near the girls’ hostel. A separate gym is available for boys and girls.
Faculty: You will find all kinds of teachers, from very helpful to a little strict. It also depends on the course whether we need much teacher assistance. Generally, many courses do not require much professor involvement. The academics in certain branches are quite tough. Students need to study seriously before exams.
Other: Chemical Engineering is the best course because it has relatively easy academics. It is a low-effort course, and many subjects may require only an all-nighter to get an A grade. It is a small course, so there is plenty of time for other activities like extracurriculars, placement preparation, coding, and even government exam preparation. Most of the proofs in this depth are easy. Easy passing done, almost with no backlog.

B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2029

Great network, good college life, and not good infrastructure.
Placements: 80-90 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest and the lowest packages generally vary from 5 LPA to 20 LPA and the average is 8.5 LPA. Top recruiters are generally from the public sector union and mostly students go for software company according to their respective domain.
Infrastructure: The college has AC but the overall infrastructure is not that great because the buildings are old. The first-year girls hostel and final year boys hostel are 5-star level so it's better than most of the other colleges. Wi-Fi is there, labs are there and well-equipped. Mess food quality is good, edible but not great. Dispensary and clinic are there. Night canteen exists.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified but some are very strict as they have the ultimate power to do things. The teaching quality is good as they are accountable for the subjects and syllabus. The semester is tough but doable if regular studies are done.
Other: The course is not that valuable now but you can choose as the college has a great network. Events like Culrav and Avishkar occur in the odd semester best time of the year. Various sports fests make college life the best.

NIT Allahabad- Consider it.
Placements: About 90 percent of students got placed last year with an average package of 24 LPA and the highest was somewhat around 75 LPA. About 50 percent of students got internships on campus for majorly SDE roles, analyst roles, and consultancy. Placement is not an issue here as you get a lot of opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that bad but there has been improvement in the last 2 years. Classrooms have been converted into centralised AC rooms. The hostel rooms have LAN service which is okay. The mess food is not that good and sports facilities are good. Lawn tennis and basketball courts are there. The gym is there. There are two grounds for cricket and football.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty decent. The curriculum is somewhat outdated but there are some courses added like AI in core CSE. The semester exams are made pretty well but you can score well if you are prepared. College life is also decent here. The campus area is full of greenery.
Other: Choose CSE without any second thought. The coding culture is good here. For core placements you can explore other south-located NITs.

It has excellent tech placements and coding culture. The infrastructure needs an upgrade.
Placements: Placements are decent in Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, especially for CSE, IT, and ECE branches. Core branches also get opportunities, but students need to work on their skills themselves. Many companies visit the campus every year with good packages.
Infrastructure: The academic buildings and labs are good enough for studies and practical work. Wi-Fi and library facilities are useful for students. Hostel life is enjoyable, though maintenance and cleanliness can be improved in some hostels. A gym is available for free. There is no need to pay extra for it.
Faculty: Most faculty members are supportive and experienced. The teaching quality depends on professors. The course curriculum is fine and gives basic industry knowledge. Exams are manageable if we study regularly before sessions. Exams are not that difficult.

Absolutely satisfied because of placements and college life.
Placements: I am from Production and Industrial Engineering, which comes under the Mechanical Department. In the Production and Industrial Engineering branch, in the year 2025, out of 30 eligible candidates, around 80 percent got placed. The average CTC was 9 LPA. The highest package was 14 LPA. The lowest package was less than 6 LPA. The average and highest packages are quite volatile. In 2023, the average package was 11 LPA. The highest package was 33 LPA. Top recruiting companies include AB InBev, Deloitte, ZS Associates, and Accenture. Students are also allowed to sit for software and other branch placements at companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: In our hostels, rooms are divided into two parts. One for the bedroom and one for the study area. Although we do not have ACs, we can use coolers. There is one canteen and two mess facilities for first-year hostels, while second, third, and fourth-year students have multiple canteens and mess facilities. Some classrooms are large lecture halls equipped with ACs, while others are not. The mess food is quite average, but the canteens, especially in senior hostels, are good. The first-year hostel canteen is average. The library is equipped with ACs and contains thousands of books.
Faculty: Our teachers mostly have PhDs and good knowledge of the curriculum. The curriculum is mostly relevant, with a few extra subjects. Semester exams are not very difficult if students study regularly, but last-minute preparation makes them difficult. During exam times, coffee is also provided.
Other: The college life is really good with lots of clubs and committees, which make the campus enjoyable. We have Nishad for the music club, Alchemy for the dramatics club, MHM for the photography club, and many other clubs. The main cultural fest is Culrav, and the technical fest is Avishkar. Students often get chances to represent the college in competitions at IITs and other NITs.

Good in placement for CSE.
Placements: So, talking about the percentage of students getting placed, in CSE, the placement rate is about 96% in 2025. The highest package was 72 LPA. Meanwhile, the average package is 27.72 LPA in 2025. Top recruiters are Oracle, Atlassian, Microsoft, and D.E. Shaw. Around 100 to 150 students got internships of which around 80% are from CSE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below expectations. Classrooms are below average. The library and labs are good, though. The college provides internet through LAN in the hostel, which enables you to browse. No desktop apps, no games will run on LAN. In the first year, the hostel is good with good food quality and just a single canteen in the hostel itself. The college provides medical facilities where you can get free medicine if prescribed by a doctor and stamped. Sports and games are conducted by the athletic team.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and the teaching quality is good. Some subjects, especially Maths, are tough for most of the students, and it's not easy to get good grades. It totally depends on the professor for relative or absolute grading. There are a few subjects we have to study apart from our course and from another department, and also some subjects not related to CSE. Semester exams are easy, though. Good scoring and grading are also good. The pass percentage for subjects except for mathematics is almost 100% in the first year.
Other: I chose this course in this college due to its high placement rate. Placements, especially for CSE, are better than many other national institutes. I would like the department to focus more on teaching subjects related to our department rather than others. Events are conducted frequently. There are a lot of opportunities to participate in many events. A lot to learn from the events. Like HACK 36 is a 36-hour hackathon which is conducted by our college. Similarly, many Aviskar is an event under which you can participate in teaching events. The college has its fest named Culrav every year.

Both the courses have their own significance in terms of the course structure, curriculum, and focus areas. However, the comparison can be drawn based on factors like tuition fees, placements, etc. Below is the comparison between NIT Allahabad Biotechnology and NIT Puducherry CSE:
