Mata Sundari College for Women (MSCW) is often seen as a "hidden gem" in Central Delhi.
Placements: The placement rate for History students is relatively modest because a large majority of MSCW History students choose to pursue B.Ed, M.A, or Law after graduation. The college placement cell is active, but History students often have to compete with B.Com and Economics students for corporate roles.
Infrastructure: There are no hostels. The infrastructure of the college is pretty average. It is not too bad and not too good. The infrastructure does not give that DU vibe. It gives more of a new modern building feel and less of the vintage DU vibe. MSCW is definitely underrated because it is a off campus college. Most people run after Hindu or Hansraj, MSCW offers a peaceful, safe and academically focused environment.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Assignments are given on time. They give students enough time to complete and submit them, which is good as they don't ask for assignments at the last minute. Faculty here is highly experienced (many are Ph.D. holders from top universities) and generally more approachable than in the high-profile colleges.
Other: College life is pretty average in this college, and the crowd is a bit lazy. One thing I like about this college is that classes don't get canceled much. I mean, they do get canceled sometimes, but teachers inform us beforehand in most cases. Many kinds of events take place in the college, so it is not that boring. Cafeteria food is a bit overpriced for the quality of food, in my opinion.

Amazing college, better than all the off campus college of Delhi University.
Placements: Placements: The highest placement offered is 12LPA, the placement cell prayas however post regular job opportunities and internship opportunities for every domain. Placement fest takes place every semester where ngos to medium companies recruit students. Courses like B.Sc. and B.Com have higher placement rates and better placement packages.
Infrastructure: The library and canteen of the college are excellent, classes are non air conditioned except for 4-5, Wi-Fi works fine except in the basement, the canteen really has a variety of food from north to south to chinese and snacks and drinks. Gurudwara is probably the best part of the college, there are at least 4 to 5 computer labs and computers are available in the library for the students to work. There is no affiliated hostel for this college.
Faculty: Teachers are absolutely friendly and amazing, and the course structure is on par with B.Sc. and B.Tech and probably better than private institutes. Despite the title of "BA", the course structure is very detailed and very informative. Even if the exams are more based on your critical thinking rather than ratta, if one takes classes seriously one can easily score well.
Other: One of the best things about the college is its prime location, CP is just 15 minutes away. College and fests are not very attractive as to what the expectations are but still you make the most out of it. The campus is small but the people are absolutely amazing and make your tenure worth it.

    This college is good.
Placements: Mata Sundri College is very good college for women in which placement facilities are provided. But mainly humanities students are going for higher education. The package is usually 25 LPA mainly. They provided abroad studies and for humanities students they promoted especially government jobs.
Infrastructure: The college is very beautiful. Wi-Fi facilities are provided. Hostel facilities are not provided in college. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and the most beautiful thing is its library. It provides canteen facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality is so good. Teachers are very well qualified. They always give reading and provide books to help students. The questions are designed as a moderate. Teachers are always promoting students. The teaching style is so awesome and gorgeous. Teachers are so good and friendly to M.Sc students.
Other: I would like to share my experience. This college is my 3rd preference. I am very happy to attend this college. My course is honors. Lots of activities happen in college. There are lots of fun activities in college.

    Overall a great college.
Placements: Placement sessions happen after every while in the college. There are counselling sessions which help students to choose what they want, the seniors are there to lead them. Many good companies come to the college for recruitment, many big personalities have also passed out from here.
Infrastructure: Healthy and clean environment. The canteen food is affordable and tasty. Medical facilities are on point. Good sports options. Regular competitions are also conducted.
Faculty: Friendly and supportive teachers are present. There is great exposure and interactive sessions between the teachers and classmates. Teachers are very helpful and provide us with appropriate sources of knowledge. This knowledge is very helpful for students as it will assist them in the future in almost all aspects. The exam pattern is easy for students to understand. Overall, nice.
Other: I am really interested in Political Science. It’s a very interesting subject, so I chose it. Also, it’s going to help me in my future as I want to go further in teaching line.

Mata Sundar College is one of the best colleges for girls.
Placements: I am from B.A. Hons Political Science, there are more than 150 students in my course. This course helps the students to clear the government exams like UPSC, CGL, etc. This course also helps in developing analytical research and writing skills, which are useful for careers in public policy, civil services, law, and academia.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is really good especially the library, which is made and maintained so well. The classrooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with smart boards and Wi-Fi facilities. The campus is neat with greenery all around providing a peaceful environment to study.
Faculty: The faculty of the Political Science department at Mata Sundri College is highly qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. The teachers explain the concept clearly and use interactive methods like discussions and presentations which make the class engaging.

    Dissatisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: The students placed in the Political Science honours is very low, meaning they get around 3.5 LPA. In 2023-24, out of 1480 graduates, 200-something students got placed, roughly around 16.7 percent of students got placed. The percentage is low.
Infrastructure: The facilities available are a library, auditorium, canteen, juice shop, Wi-Fi, computer labs, and different conference halls. The quality of the food is nice and hygienic. But the whole infrastructure is really small, and the sports complex is outside the campus, so you have to walk off the campus to get there.
Faculty: The faculty members of Political Science Honours are really helpful. They help you with all your doubts, and their teaching style is really understanding. There are MS semester exams, including IA and CA, and there are end-semester exams, which are the main exam, and the pass percentage is 63 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in this subject from the beginning, as we studied the government, how the system works, and how the high court and the supreme court work in India.
