Happy with the education, good infrastructure, and helpful professors.
Placements: We are a batch of 75 students. The packages vary depending upon the future field you choose. A general dentist may earn around 12 LPA. The post-graduation has several specialty courses, namely Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Radiology.
Infrastructure: A number of facilities are available, including AC classrooms and AC libraries. There is no college campus. There are good hostel facilities with daily cleaning. The food in the canteen is okay. No mess is available. There is no ground. Parking slots are in the basement. There are 2 buildings: one is hostel + college + hospital, the other is only college + hospital.
Faculty: This is among the top 25 NIRF-ranking colleges, with the best infrastructure and the brightest professors. The passing percentage is 50. The college is strict and disciplined in all aspects. It helps the students build a successful future life and succeed in the dental surgery aspect.
Other: Dental surgery has a lot of scope, not just in India, but also abroad. It doesn't necessarily require a master's degree. Practical knowledge is more relevant. You can't expect good-level events, but events and fests surely do happen.

Nair Hospital Dental College.
Placements: Our college offers internships for the students with a stipend of 18k. Additionally, we provide externships for students from other colleges, giving them wide exposure to patients and boosting confidence. We also offer an HO ship in other medical colleges as this college is run by BMC.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good compared to other government colleges. The library is available with all the required books. The hostel is also quite spacious and has good infrastructure. A canteen is available, and there are air-conditioned lecture halls.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and quite approachable. Two exams are held every year, including the university exam. Each student has to get at least 50% to pass in each exam. Once out of this college, students are ready to even run their clinics as there is a lot of patient exposure.
Other: The course is quite good if you give your best and is actually based on skills. You have to have good skills to outshine in this course unlike MBBS. Although this course is not yet well recognized.

Reviewing Nair Hospital Dental College.
Placements: There are no placements through the college but there is a position of house officer which is offered to the students based on their merit after internships. The college also offers an externship programme for students of other colleges who have completed their final year exams to complete their internship at Nair.
Infrastructure: Compared to the other government colleges, the facilities and infrastructure provided by the college and the hostel is one of the best having facilities like geysers, mess, study room, etc. The hostel provides a comfortable living. The college has a well-equipped library which is open till 8 in the night.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified with each of them holding an MS degree at least. All the faculty members are helpful and approachable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students aware of various dental diseases. Exams in the college are held thrice a year before the University exam.

Best college where you can see a better version of yourself after passing out.
Placements: It's not exactly placement. It has a one year compulsory bond. Stipend Rs. 11000. It is the same for all interns. There are no such company who separately comes for recruitment. The college itself recruiters us. All students who pass final year BDS are selected for this bond. Top roles offered is dentist.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for everyone. Only for staff. Classroom has 50 person capacity with projector and air conditioner and is well lit. Library is also air conditioned and all dentistry books are available to access. Hostel is not good at all. It has medium level of security but no specific mess and no canteen, medical facilities. It has gym but is not included in hostel fees.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable about their respective specialised subject. Some have a great art of teaching while stone just read the pot and finish off lectures. Course curriculum is relevant to the point that composite restoration is not included in compulsory curriculum. Exam level is moderate. Pass percentage is 60%.
Other: The branch itself is the best. Focus more on practical skills rather than theory. Events are conducted every month. For that a separate dedicated committee is formed.

It is a good college with a subpar campus and hostel.
Placements: Placements are not much good here. However, the good thing about Nair is that you are sure to become a skilled doctor. You get to treat a variety of patients, and you become proficient in all the various techniques. If you get a postgraduate degree, you can surely try for a job as a bonded professor here.
Infrastructure: I would have given a high rating if the college had its own hostel. Currently, the students have been allotted a B.M.C building as a hostel which is not in the vicinity of the college. All other facilities are top-notch. The library and the classrooms are up to the mark, and the clinics are well maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are excellent here. The teaching is great, and our college is a step above all the other colleges in the matter of teaching and academics. The staff members are very helpful and are always ready to teach you and clear your doubts. PGs here are also very helpful and friendly.

MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics - Batch of 2018
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It is one of the best dental colleges in the country.
Placements: Almost all the post-graduate students join 1 year of bonded service. The pay scale was uniform for all, which was approximately Rs. 77,000 per month. On the post of assistant professor. For the undergraduate student, one year of compulsory rotational internship is there in the college itself.
Infrastructure: Our college had a newly renovated library with a vast collection of books and journals. The library was air-conditioned. The mess was present in the hostel itself, serving a reasonable quality of food. The hostel was nearby and the building was relatively new. The only downside was the number of rooms to student ratio which leads to usually 2-3 students sharing.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were highly educated. They maintained high ethical and professional standards of education. They were always supportive and encouraging students. The course curriculum was designed by the governing body of the country and it was strictly followed. With high patient load, students become ready to step outside as able and well-trained professionals.
Other: I opted for this course because orthodontics is the most sort after and elite field in dentistry, with the correct education and training. An orthodontist can bring about marked changes in the patient's face.
