NEET MDS 2026 application form will tentatively be released in the second week of February 2026. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam conducting body, will release the NEET MDS application form 2026, along with the information bulletin, on the official website of the exam.

Eligible candidates will first have to register for the exam by submitting basic details such as personal and contact information, and then log in with the registration credentials to complete the process. The NEET MDS 2026 exam is expected to be held tentatively in the third week of April 2026. The official notification is yet to be out. 

Candidates planning to appear for the postgraduate entrance test must check the eligibility criteria before applying. A BDS or equivalent degree is a must. How to Fill the NEET MDS 2026 Application Form?

The step-by-step process for NEET MDS 2026 registration and application is given below. 

Step 1: NEET MDS 2026 Registration

  • Go to the official website of NBE - www.nbe.edu.in
  • Click on "NEET-MDS"
  • In the Links section, click on "New Registration" 
  • Enter the following details
    1. Name of Candidate
    2. Date of Birth
    3. Gender (Male/Female)
    4. Nationality (Indian/Others)
    5. Mobile Number
    6. Email Address
    7. Captcha
  • Check the details for errors
  • Click on "Submit"
  • User ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.

Step 2: Filling the NEET MDS 2026 application form

  • Login using the "Applicant Login" section
  • Enter the user ID and password
  • Click on "Go to application form"
  • Enter details such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Mobile number and Email address will be pre-filled in the application form.

A:

Instructions Regarding Uploading Photographs on NEET MDS 2026 Application Form

NBEMS stated the following instructions regarding uploading of photograph on the NEET MDS 2026 application form.

  • The photograph must be coloured
  • The candidate's face, eyes and ears must be clearly visible
  • The background of the photograph must be white
  • Candidates' names and the date of taking the photograph must be mentioned at the bottom of the photo
  • The photograph should not be older than three months. 
  • Height of head should measure 70 to 80 per cent of the photograph height or 30 mm - 36 mm.

Instructions Regarding Uploading Signature on NEET MDS 2026 Application Form

While uploading the signature on the NEET MDS 2026 application form, the following guidelines must be adhered to.

  • The signature must be made on plain white paper.
  • The signature should be made using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
  • There should not be any ink spots, smears, or anything else written on the signature file.
  • Draw a box of size 1.5 cm (height) x 3.5 cm (width). Use a black or dark blue ink pen to sign within this box.
  • Click the signature within the box in bright light conditions using any digital device (preferably with > 5-megapixel resolution). Avoid using flash. 
  • Check the shadow of your hands/camera/smartphone etc., does not fall on the sheet. 

Instructions Regarding Uploading Thumb Impression on NEET MDS 2026 Application Form

The instructions to be followed while uploading the thumb impression file on the NEET MDS 2026 application form are as follows:

  • Draw a box of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (width x height) on a white sheet of paper (you may draw more than 1 box to take multiple thumbprints and select the best). 
  • Use a fresh blue/black colour ink pad. 
  • Gently press your LEFT THUMB against the ink pad and take a horizontal print of your left thumb within the box. Do not press too much or wriggle, as it may lead to smudging of print.

Q:   How many exam city options can be selected in the NEET MDS application form?

Candidates can select only one exam city preference in the NEET MDS application form. The total number of NEET MDS 2025 exam cities was 59. It is expected that the number of exam cities will increase for NEET MDS 2026. Since only one exam city choice is allowed, candidates must choose the city closest to their present address. 

Q:   What should be the specifications for uploading photograph and signature at the NEET MDS application form?

NEET MDS Application Form 2026: Browser Requirements

To be able to fill the application form for NEET MDS 2026 without any hassles, candidates must pay attention to the browser settings. Aspirants are also advised to avoid using a mobile phone for filling the NEET MDS application form 2026. The browser requirements for filling the NEET MDS 2026 registration are as follows:

  • Internet Explorer (version 11 and above) or

Even if a candidate plans to send the hardcopy of the filled up NEET MDS application form by post, it will not be accepted making the candidate ineligible to appear for the exam.

How to Make Corrections in NEET MDS 2026 Application Form

Candidates had to follow the steps given below to make corrections to the NEET MDS 2026 application form:

There are two types of NEET MDS application correction window. In the first and primary correction window, and the final correction window. On the other hand, in the NEET MDS final correction window, candidates will be able to make corrections in the incorrect or deficient images of photograph, signature and thumb impression. Q:   Will NBE extended NEET MDS 2026 registration deadline?
A: 

In general, NBEMS does not extend the NEET MDS registration last date. However, in case the internship deadline is extended, then the NEET MDS registration and application window may be reopened. The NEET MDS 2026 application process is expected to be conducted from the second to fourth week of February 2026. The actual dates will be announced along with the information bulletin.

Q:   Can I modify every detail through NEET MDS correction window?
A: 

No, candidates are not allowed to edit each and every detail of the NEET MDS application form. As per last year's trend, applicants could edit every detail except name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, and email ID. Candidates will also be given a chance to rectify their images or signatures, or any other files uploaded by them. There is no additional charge levied to make corrections in the NEET MDS application.

Q:   What is the NEET MDS application fee for OBC category candidates?
A: 

There is no concession in NEET MDS application fee for OBC students. They have to pay INR 3,500 as an application fee. NBE had reduced the NEET MDS 2024 application fee from last year, which was INR 4,250. The exam fee for the Reserved category candidates is INR 2,500. The application fee of NEET MDS has to be paid in an online mode through Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking. 

Q:   What is the official website of NEET MDS?
A: 

The NEET MDS official website is hosted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). There are two paths to reach the official website of NEET MDS. The official website of NBEMS is natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in. Now, let us take a look at the navigation or the route to reach the NEET MDS portal hosted by NBE.

Q:   Will I be able to appear for NEET MDS exam if I do not complete my internship within the deadline?
A: 

The date of completing the BDS internship as per the NEET MDS 2025 eligibility criteria was June 30, 2025. It is expected that the internship deadline for NEET MDS 2026 will be June 30, 2026. In case a candidate does not complete the BDS internship within the said date, he or she will not be eligible to appear for the exam. However, if he or she is issued the NEET MDS admit card, then the candidate will be able to appear for the exam, but during the further checking of candidature, or during the document verification, he or she will be considered non-qualified.

Q:   How will I come to know if I need to make any correction in the NEET MDS application form?
A: 

After submitting the NEET MDS application form, candidates are advised to go through the submitted form to check whether all the information entered are correct or not. In case there is a mistake, then you have to make the changes in the first NEET MDS edit window. In case of a deficient image or signature, NBE will mail candidates with the details and candidates have to edit the images accordingly.  

Q:   How many times does NBE provide NEET MDS application correction facility?
A: 

In general, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) or NBE provides the NEET MDS application correction facility twice. In the first round of NEET MDS application correction or edit window, changes can be done in any of the fields except for name, nationality, email, mobile number and test city. On the other hand, in the final edit window, candidates have to rectify their deficient or incorrect images or photographs, signatures and thumb impressions. 

Q:   What is the NEET MDS eligibility criteria?
A: 

In order to apply or appear for the NEET MDS exam, candidates have to fulfill the following eligbility criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) programme from an institute recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
  • They must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional)

  • They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the stipulated date.

In case a candidate does not fulfill any of the above mentioned NEET MDS eligibility criterion, then he/she will not be considered for the MDS admission process. 

Q:   What is the duration of the NEET MDS application process?
A: 

The NEET MDS 2026 application process is likely to be conducted for a duration of approximately four weeks. The actual dates will be announced by NBEMS in the information bulletin. The exam authorities do not change the NEET MDS application last date. As per past few years' trends, the NEET MDS application process gets reopened if the internship deadline is extended.

Q:   What is the NEET MDS internship cutoff date?
A: 

The NEET MDS 2026 internship cutoff date is expected to be June 30, 2026, based on previous years' trends. The actual date will be announced in the NEET MDS 2026 information bulletin. Last year, the original last date of internship was March 31, 2025, which was extended till June 30, 2025. In case a candidate is unable to complete the internship within the said date will not be considered eligible. Candidates must endeavour to complete the internship within the same date.   

Q:   I have completed my NEET MDS application process, but the status is being shown as incomplete. What should I do?
A: 

In such a scenario, you should wait for a while and login to your NEET MDS account again. In case of temporary glitch, the website may show the status of application as incomplete but it once the issue is resolved, the status will be shown as application successful. On the other hand, if any of the step, or the application fee payment is still pending, then you should check which stage it has been stuck and repeat the step again. In case the application fee is pending, then candidates are advised to pay the fee again to get confirmation on the NEET MDS application process. In case of double payment, the additional fee amount will be reversed to source. 

Q:   What is the application fee for NEET MDS?
A: 

The NEET MDS application fee varies according to the candidate categories. It is expected that the NEET MDS 2026 fee amount will remain the same as last year. The NEET MDS application fee for the General and OBC category candidates is INR 3,500. For the reserved category candidates, such as the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disability (PWD), the application fee is INR 2,500. In NEET MDS 2024, the fee amount was reduced from the previous year, which was INR 4,250 and INR 3,250 for Open and reserved category candidates. It is expected that the NEET MDS 2025 application fee will remain the same as last year. The application fee has to be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking modes. 

Q:   Can I fill NEET MDS application form from my mobile phone?
A: 

No, it is not recommended to filll the NEET MDS application form from your mobile phone. Even though it is not technically impossible, but there may be other challenges regarding file upload or fee payment. The internet connection may also not be stable on your mobile phones. Moreover, one of the steps in NEET MDS application form is to click a realtime photo on the webcamera. Filling the application form through mobile phone will hamper this process as uploading selfies is not allowed. Hence, candidates are advised to fill and submit the NEET MDS 2025 application form on their desktop or laptop computers. 

Q:   Which browsers should I use for the NEET MDS application process?
A: 

Candidates should ensure that they use a the latest or updated browser for filling the NEET MDS application form. Some of the accepted web browsers and their versions are as follows:
