NEET MDS Form Correction Window 2026
The NEET MDS correction window 2026 was available in two phases. The first phase of the correction window allowed candidates to make changes to the details and documents submitted on the form. In the final phase, candidates could edit only the documents uploaded on the form. Candidates needed to follow the steps given below to make the NEET MDS application form correction-

NEET MDS Photo Upload Guidelines by NBE
NBEMS states the following instructions regarding uploading of photograph on the NEET MDS application form.
- The photograph must be coloured
- The candidate's face, eyes and ears must be clearly visible
- The background of the photograph must be white
- Candidates' names and the date of taking the photograph must be mentioned at the bottom of the photo
- The photograph should not be older than three months.
- Height of head should measure 70 to 80 per cent of the photograph height or 30 mm - 36 mm.

NEET MDS Signature Upload Guidelines by NBE
While uploading the signature on the NEET MDS 2026 application form, the following guidelines must be adhered to.
- The signature must be made on plain white paper.
- The signature should be made using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
- There should not be any ink spots, smears, or anything else written on the signature file.
- Draw a box of size 1.5 cm (height) x 3.5 cm (width). Use a black or dark blue ink pen to sign within this box.
- Click the signature within the box in bright light conditions using any digital device and avoid using flash.
- Check that the shadow of your hands/ camera/ smartphone does not fall on the sheet.
NEET MDS Thumb Impression Upload Guidelines by NBE
The instructions to be followed while uploading the thumb impression file on the NEET MDS 2026 application form are as follows:
- Draw a box of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (width x height) on a white sheet of paper (you may draw more than 1 box to take multiple thumbprints and select the best).
- Use a fresh blue/black colour ink pad.
- Gently press your LEFT THUMB against the ink pad and take a horizontal print of your left thumb within the box. Do not press too much or wriggle, as it may lead to smudging of print.
Important Instructions while Filling NEET MDS Form 2026
The NEET MDS registration process is completely online. Candidates must follow the instructions shared below while filling the NEET MDS application form-
- Candidates must fill in the application form with the correct details, as some fields are uneditable during the correction window.
- The documents must be uploaded as per the specified size, dimension and format.
- Candidates applying through their Aadhaar must ensure that their photo on Aadhaar matches the captured live photo. In case of mismatch, candidates will not be able to submit the form.
- Candidates should check the browser settings before taking the NEET MDS registration 2026. The browser should be of the latest version. The appropriate browsers for MDS registration are- Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- Candidates should submit the applications timely and should not wait for the last date, as they might face server errors or technical glitches due to high traffic.

The NEET MDS 2026 internship cutoff date is May 31, 2026. The NBE mentioned the cut off date in the NEET MDS exam date notice. In case a candidate is unable to complete the internship within the said date will not be considered eligible.
No, candidates are not allowed to edit each and every detail of the NEET MDS application form. As per last year's trend, applicants could edit every detail except name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, and email ID. Candidates will also be given a chance to rectify their images or signatures, or any other files uploaded by them. There is no additional charge levied to make corrections in the NEET MDS application.
In general, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) or NBE provides the NEET MDS application correction facility twice. In the first round of NEET MDS application correction or edit window, changes can be done in any of the fields except for name, nationality, email, mobile number and test city. On the other hand, in the final edit window, candidates have to rectify their deficient or incorrect images or photographs, signatures and thumb impressions.
After submitting the NEET MDS application form, candidates are advised to go through the submitted form to check whether all the information entered are correct or not. In case there is a mistake, then you have to make the changes in the first NEET MDS edit window. In case of a deficient image or signature, NBE will mail candidates with the details and candidates have to edit the images accordingly.
In such a scenario, you should wait for a while and login to your NEET MDS account again. In case of temporary glitch, the website may show the status of application as incomplete but it once the issue is resolved, the status will be shown as application successful. On the other hand, if any of the step, or the application fee payment is still pending, then you should check which stage it has been stuck and repeat the step again. In case the application fee is pending, then candidates are advised to pay the fee again to get confirmation on the NEET MDS application process. In case of double payment, the additional fee amount will be reversed to source.
The following fields cannot be edited in the NEET MDS application correction window:
- Candidate Name
- Nationality
- Mobile Number
- Email address
- Permanent address
- Test centre city choice.
It is not recommended to filll the NEET MDS application form on mobile phone. Though it is technically possible, but there may be other problems regarding file upload or fee payment when one fill the form on the phone. This might disturb the complete process. Candidates should try to fill the NEET MDS form on their desktop or laptop.
In general, NBEMS does not extend the NEET MDS registration last date. However, in case the internship deadline is extended, then the NEET MDS registration and application window may be reopened. The NEET MDS 2026 application process is expected to be conducted from the second to fourth week of February 2026. The actual dates will be announced along with the information bulletin.
Candidates cannot appear for the NEET MDS exam if they do not complete the BDS internship before the cutoff date. The NEET MDS cutoff date for internship is mentioned on the information bulletin.
