NEET MDS 2025 application form was released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on February 18, 2025, 3 PM. The last date of the NEET MDS 2025 application process was March 10, 2025, 11.55 PM. The NEET MDS 2025 application correction window opened on March 14, 2025, and the last date to make changes in the permitted fields is March 17, 2025. A final edit window will also be provided to make changes or edit documents or files uploaded in the application form of NEET MDS from March 27 to March 31, 2025.

The NEET MDS notification and information brochure were released on February 17, 2025, a day before the application form release. The NEET MDS 2025 exam date was scheduled for January 31, 2025, but has been postponed to April 19, 2025

The application form for NEET MDS 2025 was released online, and candidates have to fill and submit it along with the payment of the requisite fee in online mode only, which includes Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking or UPI. 

To access and fill the NEET MDS application form 2025, candidates have to visit the official website of the exam to register and apply for the NEET MDS 2025 by entering the mandatory details, uploading documents and paying the application fee. 

NEET MDS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the postgraduate entrance test are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying. A BDS or equivalent degree is a must. They must complete a 12-month internship on or before March 31, 2025. Candidates found ineligible will not be allowed to appear for the examination, and their NEET MDS 2025 application form will be rejected. Q:   When will NBE open the correction window for NEET MDS exam?

A: 

NBE is providing the NEET MDS 2025 application correction window in two phases. The NEET MDS 2025 application correction window is open from March 14 to 17, 2025, after the conclusion of the application process. The final application correction window or the image correction facility will be open from March 27 to 31, 2025. Only those candidates completing the NEET MDS application process will be allowed to opt for this facility where they will be given a chance to make changes in selected fields.

Q:   When did NEET MDS 2025 application process begin?

A: 

The NEET MDS 2025 application process started on February 18, 2025, 3 PM. The application process of NEET MDS 2025 was completely online. The last date of NEET MDS 2025 application was March 10, 2025, 11.55 PM. The dates of NEET MDS 2025 application form was announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on its official website through notification and information bulletin on February 17, 2025, a day prior to the commencement of the application process. Q:   What is the NEET MDS eligibility criteria?

A: 

In order to apply or appear for the NEET MDS exam, candidates have to fulfill the following eligbility criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) programme from an institute recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI)
  • They must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC) (permanent/provisional)

  • They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the stipulated date.

In case a candidate does not fulfill any of the above mentioned NEET MDS eligibility criterion, then he/she will not be considered for the MDS admission process.

Q:   What is the duration of the NEET MDS 2025 application process?

A: 

The NEET MDS 2025 application process was conducted for a duration of approximately four weeks, The NEET MDS 2025 application process was conducted from February 18 to March 10, 2025. Last year, the NEET MDS application process was conducted from January 30, 2024, to February 19, 2024. NBE did not extend the NEET MDS application last date. However, the registration window was reopened in February since the internship deadline was extended. Based on the student requests or other factors, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the exam conducting body may decide to extend the last date of application. The application fee has to be paid till the last date to complete the process. Candidates should note that they should complete the application process within the given deadline and not wait for NBE to extend the last date.

Q:   Will I be able to appear for NEET MDS exam if I do not complete my internship within the deadline?

A: 

The date of completing the BDS internship as per the NEET MDS 2025 eligibility criteria is March 31, 2025. In case a candidate does not complete the BDS internship within the said date, he or she will not be eligible to appear for the exam. However, if he or she is issued the NEET MDS 2025 admit card,   then the candidate will be able to appear for the exam, but during the further checking of candidature, or during the document verification, he or she would be considered non-qualified.

Q:   What is the last date of NEET MDS internship cutoff?

A: 

According to the NEET MDS 2025 eligibility criteria, applicants must have completed their internship on or before March 31, 2025. In case a candidate is unable to complete the internship within the said date will not be considered eligible. Unless the exam authorities decide to extend the NEET MDS 2025 internship cutoff date, candidates must endeavour to complete the internship within the same date.

How to Make Corrections in NEET MDS 2025 Application Form

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to make corrections to the NEET MDS 2025 application form:

No, there is no fee involved for editing the NEET MDS application form. Only those candidates who would complete the NEET MDS application process by paying the requisite application fee will be eligible to make changes or avail the edit window for NEET MDS. It is important to identify the changes to be done on the NEET MDS application form and execute those within the said timelines, otherwise their application will not be considered and they will not be eligible to apper for the exam.

Q:   What is the difference between the NEET MDS primary correction window and final correction window?

A: 

There are two types of NEET MDS application correction window. In the first and primary correction window, and the final correction window. In the first or primary NEET MDS correction window, candidates can make corrections or changes in the informtion entered in the application form, except for a few fields. On the other hand, in the NEET MDS final correction window, candidates will be able to make corrections in the incorrect or deficient images of photograph, signature and thumb impression. Instructions Regarding Uploading Photographs on NEET MDS 2025 Application Form

NBEMS stated the following instructions regarding uploading of photograph on the NEET MDS 2025 application form.

  • The photograph must be coloured
  • The candidate's face, eyes and ears must be clearly visible
  • The background of the photograph must be white
  • Candidates' names and date of taking the photograph must be mentioned at the bottom of the photo
  • The photograph should not be older than three months. 
  • Height of head should measure 70 to 80 per cent of the photograph height or 30 mm - 36 mm. 

A real-time photograph taken by the webcam/in-built camera of the computer system while filling the online application form.

Instructions Regarding Uploading Signature on NEET MDS 2025 Application Form

While uploading the signature on the NEET MDS 2025 application form, following guidelines must be adhered to.

  • The signature must be made on a plain white paper.
  • The signature should be made using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
  • There should not be any ink spot, smear, or anything else written on the signature file.
  • Draw a box of size 1.5 cm (height) x 3.5 cm (width). Use a black or dark blue ink pen to sign within this box.
  • Click the signature within the box in bright light conditions using any digital device (preferably with > 5-megapixel resolution). Avoid using flash. 
  • Check the shadow of your hands/camera/smartphone etc. does not fall on the sheet. 

Instructions Regarding Uploading Thumb Impression on NEET MDS 2025 Application Form

The instructions to be followed while uploading the thumb impression file on the NEET MDS 2025 application form are as follows:

  • Draw a box of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (width x height) on a white sheet of paper (you may draw more than 1 box to take multiple thumb print and select the best). 
  • Use a fresh blue/black colour ink pad. 
  • Gently press your LEFT THUMB against the ink pad and take a horizontal print of your left thumb within the box. Do not press too much or wriggle as it may lead to smudging of print.

Q:   What are the rules and regulations for taking the real-time photograph for the NEET MDS application form?

A: 

While filling the NEET MDS application form, there is a step wherein candidates' realtime photograph has to be clicked through the web camera of the computer used for filling the form. The guidelines for taking this photograph are as follows:

  • Confirm that the computer system has a functional built-in camera
  • Dress up in formal attire
  • Stand or sit against a white background
  • There should be a bright light falling on the face of the candidate, but not on the web camera
  • The image must not include other objects or additional people. Ensure that you are only one person in picture
  • The image must contain the full face, ears, neck, and shoulders of the entrant in frontal view with a neutral, non-smiling expression and with eyes open and directed at the camera
  • The image must not contain any parts of the body below the entrant's shoulders.

Q:   What should be the size and format of uploading documents at the NEET MDS application form?

Candidates will have to upload their scanned photographs, signature and certificates or documents while filling the NEET MDS application form. The photograph and signature should be in JPG or JPEG formats. The file size should not exceed 80 KB. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm and that of the signature is 6 cm x 3 cm. The format of other documents should be PDF. The NEET MDS application fee for the General and OBC category candidates is INR 3,500. For the reserved category candidates such as the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Person with a disability (PWD), the application fee is INR 2,500. Last year, the fee amount was reduced from the previous year, which was INR 4,250 and INR 3,250 for Open and reserved category candidates. It is expected that the NEET MDS 2025 application fee will remain the same as last year. The application fee has to be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking modes.

Q:   I have completed my NEET MDS application process, but the status is being shown as incomplete. What should I do?

A: 

In such a scenario, you should wait for a while and login to your NEET MDS account again. In case of temporary glitch, the website may show the status of application as incomplete but it once the issue is resolved, the status will be shown as application successful. On the other hand, if any of the step, or the application fee payment is still pending, then you should check which stage it has been stuck and repeat the step again. In case the application fee is pending, then candidates are advised to pay the fee again to get confirmation on the NEET MDS application process. In case of double payment, the additional fee amount will be reversed to source.

Q:   Do I have to send any documents offline to apply for NEET MDS?

A: 

No, candidates are not required to send any documents through post. They will have to upload the documents online, while filling the NEET MDS application form. The documents should be in PDF format and within the size prescribed by NBE. In case a candidate sends the documents via post instead of online, their candidature will be cancelled and will not be eligible to appear for the exam.

Q:   Will NBE extended NEET MDS 2025 registration deadline?

A: 

The NEET MDS 2025 registration last date was March 10, 2025. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) did not extend the last date, but may reopen the last date of application process based on external factors or student requests. Candidates were advised not to wait for an extended window and complete the registration process within the original deadline.

Q:   Can I modify every detail through NEET MDS correction window?

A: 

No, candidates are not allowed to edit each and every detail of the NEET MDS application form. As per last year's trend, applicants could edit every detail except name, date of birth, nationality, mobile number, and email ID. Candidates will also be given a chance to rectify their images or signatures, or any other files uploaded by them. There is no additional charge levied to make corrections in the NEET MDS application.

Q:   When will NBE open the correction window for NEET MDS exam?

A: 

NBE is providing the NEET MDS 2025 application correction window in two phases. The NEET MDS 2025 application correction window is open from March 14 to 17, 2025, after the conclusion of the application process. The final application correction window or the image correction facility will be open from March 27 to 31, 2025. Only those candidates completing the NEET MDS application process will be allowed to opt for this facility where they will be given a chance to make changes in selected fields.

Q:   What is the NEET MDS application fee for OBC category candidates?

A: 

There is no concession in NEET MDS application fee for OBC students. They have to pay INR 3,500 as an application fee. NBE had reduced the NEET MDS 2024 application fee from last year, which was INR 4,250. The exam fee for the Reserved category candidates is INR 2,500. The application fee of NEET MDS has to be paid in an online mode through Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking.
