Candidate must have passed BA English Language & Literature/BA English & History/BA Functional English/ BA English with Islamic History or BA/BSc (excluding alternative pattern) Degree with English as Common Course (Part I), of this University or an equivalent* degree, with the mentioned marks or equivalent overall CGPA. SC/STcandidates need only to get a pass. For Non-BA (English) category candidates applying for M A English Language & Literature, admission will be based on an Entrance Test. A candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test for admission in this category. Admission of such candidates will be to the one seat reserved (for each MA English Language & Literature programme) in the affiliatedcolleges of the University and this seat will be set apart from the General Quota.
