NID Bhopal Highlights 2025
Located in MP, National Institute of Design Bhopal is spread over 30 acres. It is a member of the CII, FICCI, and Federation of Madhya Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FMPCCI). NIDMP campus Architect received a Commendation Certificate in Institutional Category by Indian Building Congress on Jan 6, 2020. NIDMP provides Bachelor's programme in Design (BDes) and the specialisations include Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design with a multi-disciplinary approach to design education. The application fee of NID DAT 2026 for the B. Des for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates is INR 3,000. SC, ST, PwD candidates only ned to pay INR 1,500. However note that the application fees for overseas candidates seeking admission to supernumerary seats is INR 5000. In case of the M.Des programme, the application fees for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates applying for one discipline is INR 3,000. If two disciplines are chosen, the application fee is INR 6000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidate need to pay INR 1,500 for one discipline, and INR 3000 for two disciplines.
The NID DAT 2026 application form is now open.
Candidates cannot join NID Bhopal directly. NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), aka NID DAT, is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID). The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted in two stages:
- DAT Prelims - The candidate first appears in DAT Prelims.
- DAT Mains - Shortlisted candidates have to appear in DAT Mains.
The FINAL result of NID DAT will be prepared by giving weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.

For admission to the BDes course, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates must sit and appear for DAT entrance exam to get admission for BDes course at National Institute of Design, Bhopal . Apart from this, the total tuition fee for the BDes course ranges between INR 1.1 lakh-INR 10.9 lakh.

While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.
The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.
Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.

There are three types of National Institute of Design scholarships available which are as follows:
