The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9:30 am. B.Des and M.Des exams were held from 10 AM to 1 PM.
As per the information available online, NID Gandhinagar admissions are entrance-based. Hence, direct admission is not offered to the candidates. Candidates seeking admission to MDes programmes have to appear for the DAT prelims and DAT mains. The institute shortlist candidates for the Mains based on score in prelims. Further, in the Mains exam, candidates have to take the studio test followed by an interview round.
NID Gandhinagar offers full-time residential two year MDes courses at the PG level. MDes is offered to students across seven disciplines. Admission to the course is entrance-based. Cut-off for NID DAT will be prepared based on factors like total number of applications, seat intake for the applied programme, category under which admission is sought, and merit rank of the applicant in NID DAT 2026.
