The institute does not provide the cut off marks officially.The cut off comprises opening and closing JEE Main rank for UG courses and CAT percentile for MBA courses. The university conducts its own entrance exam called NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) for admission to its PG programs. The NCAT consists of four sections: Quantitative and Analytical Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal and General Ability, and Personal Interview. The cutoff for NCAT is not officially released by the university, but it is based on the relative performance of the candidates in each section and the overall score.

NICMAR University and NICMAR University, Hyderabad are the same institution with different campuses. The fees for the same courses may vary depending on the campus location. For example, the MBA in Advanced Construction Management course has a total fee of Rs. 11,95,900 at the Hyderabad campus and Rs. 11,15,000 at the Pune campus. The candidates will be scrutinised and eligibility is established based on the documents submitted. Applicants should Qualify for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or JEE Paper 2 (NTA). Students are required to appear for a Counselling Session at NICMAR University, Pune. The admission will be based on the candidate’s NATA score or JEE Paper 2 (50% weightage) and exam score of the Class 12 examination or Graduation Diploma examination (50% weightage).
