The two well-known institutes for MSc admissions are National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra and National Institute of Technology Agartala. For MSc course admissions, both colleges accept CCMN scores. The MSc in Chemistry specialisation at NIT Kurukshetra Last Round cutoff scores were 1392 for 2024 and 1536 for 2023, respectively. In a similar vein, the NIT Agartala Last Round cutoff scores were 1852 for 2024 and 1625 for 2023.It is evident from the available cutoff data that NIT Kurukshetra has somewhat higher demand among the candidates. Thus, it is contingent upon the candidates' scores for what can they go for. If they can secure a rank same as the cutoff or less than the cutoff, then they should go for NIT Kurukshetra, Otherwise, NIT Agartala would be the next best alternative for them to do MSc in Chemistry. So, it totally depends on the rank of the candidates that which college can they choose.Let's compare other aspects to help candidates to make a preferable choice from the table given below:CollegeTotal Fees (For MSc courses)Average Package 2023NIRF Ranking 2024NIT KurukshetraINR 1.40 lakh(for 2 years)INR 9 Lakh81NIT AgartalaINR 26,450(for 2 years)INR 6.50 Lakh82

{Source: M.E./M.Tech students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for M.E./M.Tech Courses at NIT KurukshetraBased on student reviews, the placement cell for M.E./M.Tech courses at NIT Kurukshetra is considered less efficient. Here's what students have said:* Placements for M.E./M.Tech courses are not as good as those for Bachelor's courses, except for Computer Engineering.* Currently, only around 5-10% of students receive placements in good companies.* Internship opportunities are available, and students have been placed in firms like Tata Power and Qualcomm, with stipends ranging from INR12,000 to INR30,000-40,000 per month. It appears that while the placement cell exists, its effectiveness is limited, particularly for Master's programs. This could be due to various factors, including market demand, industry requirements, and the curriculum structure.
