NIT Manipur NIRF Rankings 2025 are out. NIT Manipur has been ranked under the band '151-200' under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF Ranking 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam is now over for admission to the MSc course, with the results expected to be announced on Mar 20, 2026.
- The CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Round 3 has concluded with the announcement of the seat allotment results for admission to BE/BTech courses.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses has concluded. Results are scheduled for release on Mar 19, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registrations for session 2 started for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The last date to register for the same is Feb 25, 2026. Further, the session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
NIT Manipur - National Institute of Technology Courses & Fees 2025
There are a total of 16 courses offered at by the institute. These courses are offered across fields of Engineering, etc. They are available at the UG and PG levels. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

Candidates need to pass GATE to get a seat in NIT Manipur M.Tech programme. NITM offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling.
GATE cutoffs are released online, aspirants with score equal or above cutoff, become eligible for CCMT Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to register for CCMT Counselling to become eligible for seat allotment. Selected aspirants are required to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.
No, NIT Manipur offers admission to UG and PG courses based on entrance exam scores. Aspirants seeking admission in BTech must have a valid JEE Main score. The institute offers admission to GATE and IIT JAM scores in M.Tech and MSc programmes, respectively. Besides, GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR NET scores are accepted for PhD courses followed by a PI round. Hence, admission is not possible at NIT Manipur without entrance exam scores.
Getting admission in NIT Manipur requires candidates to qualify specified entrance exams. Candidates wishing to get admission in BTech need to pass JEE Main followed by JoSAA Counselling. The select left vacant after completion of the JoSAA Counselling are filled by CSAB Counselling.

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
