The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya (NITM) in India has a moderate NIRF 2023 Engineering ranking of 72nd. It is also ranked 16th in the 'Top 25 Government Engineering Colleges' category by Outlook-ICARE Rankings 2022. NITM is not currently ranked in the World University Rankings but is actively participating in the process. Other factors to consider include specialisation rankings, experienced faculty, and modern facilities. NITM's branch, Computer Science and Electronics & Communication, has better placement records and reputations. The university also has experienced faculty who actively participates in research, contributing to academic growth and student opportunities. NITM's modern facilities and location in Shillong make it a compelling choice for aspiring engineers. However, it is essential to consider individual goals and interests when comparing rankings and choosing an institute.
