As per the latest report, a total of 79 recruiters visited the NIT Meghalaya campus for 2024 placements and presented 117 job offers to the Class of 2024. The total number of recruiters participated during NIT Meghalaya placements between 2022 and 2024 are tabulated below:

The 2023 cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25978, which was the least competetive specialisations offered by NIT Nagaland.  The cutoff for the year 2022 was 17921 and for the year 2021 it was 24041. As per the date it concludes that cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years, which indicates the rise in demand of the CSE course.

NIT Meghalaya is among the newly established NITs in the northeast region. It managed to secure 72nd under engineering category. As for its placement,   NIT Meghalaya concluded the 2023 placement session with199 job offers. The NIT Meghalaya average package and the highest package stood at INR 11.10 LPA and INR 32 LPA, respectively. Additionally, the lowest package offered was INR 3.6 LPA. Over 60 companies participated in NIT Meghalaya placements 2023, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, etc.,

The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 1.4 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2024, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1.00 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between INR1.00 to 5.00 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.

NIT Meghalaya BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTech programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29^th of September 2015. Yes, NIT Meghalaya offers MSc as a postgraduate programme for two years. The programme is offered across three specialisations which include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates willing to be admission in MSc must have a bachelor’s degree with 60% aggregate in Chemistry as an Honours/Major. Additionally, candidates are required to qualify the IIT Jam exam and apply for the CCMN counseling. If candidates fail to secure a seat via the CCMN they can always go for the institution-based entrance exam conducted especially for the vacant seats left after the CCMN counselling process.

After the shortlisting process, students with admission offers are required to complete the document verification process. Such candidates are required to bring along the following documents:

NIT Meghalaya accepts GATE score for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for M.Tech ranged between 356 and 424, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. The total tuition fee of PhD at NIT Meghalaya is INR 69,500. This number is taken from the official sources of colleges. It can change. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm admission.
