NIT Meghalaya Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

To get a seat at NIT Meghalaya for BTech specialisations, candidate must attain the rank as per the category they belong to. NIT Meghalaya JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for the first round. As per the cutoff for the General AI category candidates, the closing ranks in round 1 varied between 19623 and 44560. NIT Meghalaya cutoff 2025 has been released for the round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to BTech and BArch courses, on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 22131 and 48977. The  most desired course among the General AI category candidates was BArch. In the BTech specialisations, the most desirable specialisation turned out to be CSE.

• Candidates must have a bachelor’a degree in BSc with 60% aggregate
• Must qualify the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT Jam) with a valid score
• Register for seat allocation through the Centralized Counselling for MSc (CCMN)
• If candidates couldn't secure seat via CCMN, they can register themselves in the institutiin based process for the left over seats.

NIT Meghalaya offers BTech programmes with a duration of four years. BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is offered in provides five specialisations for the BTech programme, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes tweleve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.

As per the round 3 of JEE Main cutoff 2025, it is possible to get admission to NIT Raipur with a rank of 45000 in JEE Main. The cutoff for the General AI category candidates was closed at 22131 and 48977. Looking at the cutoff range, it was evident that getting admission at 45000 rank is possible, among the General AI category candidates. 

For admission to MSc programme at NIT Meghalaya candidate must complete the institution's entrance standards, which include achieving a valid score in the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test for MSc followed by CCMN Counselling.  Also candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria i.e. Bachelor's degree with 60% aggregate.  NIT Meghalaya conducts its own admission process for the left over seats from the CCMN counselling process.

The 2023 cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25978, which was the least competetive specialisations offered by NIT Nagaland.  The cutoff for the year 2022 was 17921 and for the year 2021 it was 24041. As per the date it concludes that cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years, which indicates the rise in demand of the CSE course.

NIT Meghalaya accepts GATE score for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for M.Tech ranged between 356 and 424, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. For a few of the M.Tech sepcialisations, the cutoff stands closed after Round 1, 2 and 3. As per the last year cutoff data, the minimum GATE cutoff for NIT Meghalaya was 356 for M.Tech in CSE.

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 19175 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN Counselling 2023 for the three specialisations was concluded after Round 5. The CCMN Last Round (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 2417, in Mathematics it was 2462, and finally in Chemistry it was 2150.
