An average architecture college.

Placements: There is no campus placement available in our college. After graduation, we can either do Masters, join other architecture firms or start our own architecture firm. Everyone must complete two four-month internships, one in the sixth semester and the other in the ninth semester. The total duration of the course is 10 semesters, which is 5 years.

Infrastructure: Our college consists of different kinds of hands-on experience labs, such as computer lab, an architecture workshop, building simulation lab, etc. It also has a library, which has online access to all the available books. We have a hostel facility but it is 3 kms from the college and the hostel has Wi-Fi but the food provided in the hostel is very bad, to the extent that it can't be eaten.

Faculty: When I joined the college there were some teachers who were helpful and some who were not. By the time I got to the third year, all the good teachers had left the college and the college had teachers who would come and sit in the class and not teach anything and ask us to do the work, especially a history teacher. All the good teachers leave within a year, and the college can't stop them. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester-end exams are mostly jury and the pass percentage is around 90%.

Other: I joined this course because of my father. He wanted me to pursue architecture, start my own firm and be my own boss. But I find it very difficult to complete my course. I was more interested in Science and wanted to pursue photography as a profession, and I read somewhere that with architecture degree you have exposure to everything such as photography, videography, journalism, etc. It's too much work in architecture, you can't study everything one night before and pass, you have to work everyday.

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Campus placements are not provided in our college. It is a 5-year course with 10 semesters. Internships are provided in the 6th and 9th semesters. Students have to search and have to apply themselves. Our college guide students to apply and help them to make the correct choices for internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very friendly with a very good environment. Classrooms are very well-designed and spacious. Architecture students need space to do drafts and models. They work on computers. Our college provides all the necessities.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified, very friendly, and are available after college hours too. Students deal with real-world problems to know the effect architecture has on the environment and climate. Most of the exams are viva where we explain our design. Juniors give their review and mark accordingly.

Other: Events are organised very often so that students get some time to relax and have fun. Our college has a very good learning atmosphere. It organises extracurricular activities like dance, sports, aero modeling, theatre performance, and many more.

In our college, replacements were very good in 2015.

Placements: In our college, almost 50% of students were placed in our course. The lowest salary package offered was 25 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 85 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro visited our campus. Almost 50% of students got internships from our course at Wipro. This was a very good college.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was excellent, and all life amenities were confirmed, including the possibility of opening the library. The hostel facilities are very good. There were medical facilities available. The most popular activities in that hostel were sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers were very good at teaching. The teaching qualities were excellent. They helped each other. The courses were satisfying and students were getting ready for placements. Semesters were a little bit difficult. The pass percentage was 50% and everyone will pass this exam easily.

Other: It is the most prestigious college at Bangalore University. The college organised events, campus crowds, connectivity surrounding them, scholarships, and so on.

The college boosts creativity among students.

Placements: There are no placements for our course in this college. Freshers can expect a starting salary of Rs. 15,000 per month. There are no top companies in particular. Every student is required to complete at least 16 weeks of internship in two semesters through the 5-year course. Roles like junior architect and senior architect are offered (after 5 years of work experience).

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty decent. Classrooms are spacious with specially designed drafting tables. There is a computer lab (air-conditioned) and it is well-equipped with the latest software required for the course. There is a well-equipped library and a stationery store that caters to requirements of the course. There is also a printing and plotting facility. Hostel facilities are good, and rooms are neat and well-maintained. Food is provided and hot water facilities are available as well.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful when required and are well above qualified to teach in this institute. Visiting faculty members are also employed here and are overall good. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students through participation in internship opportunities. Semester exams are easy to get if students consistently work throughout the semester.

Other: I chose this course for my interest in architecture. I would like to know more about how project execution works on-site. Events in this college are limited, as it is a rigorous and tedious course.
