Absolutely rare experience because there was much more to explore, but faculty members were less.
Placements: In this course, you could get a diploma certificate in Mathematics, and you could further study M.Sc. or some relevant course. This course offered you a Mathematics graduate, and you could teach Maths as a private tutor in schools. Apart from that, you could appear for entrances like GATE, CUET, IIT JAM, etc.
Infrastructure: This course offered a combined library, canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games as part of the study. The quality of these facilities was average. The food quality was not as good as the price charged. However, the availability of necessary facilities was more.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. This course was somewhat curriculum-relevant, but it didn’t make students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the semester exams was average. The pass percentage was 4 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because it was the best course for me, as I belong to a middle-class family, and I love mathematics as well. The thing that could have been better in this course was the number of faculty members. It could have been more, that's all.

Overall, it's a good college.
Placements: Many students got placements after passing out from the Institute. Even many students got internships too. I haven't pass my course yet so I can’t say much about the placements, but as per the seniors, a lot of work opportunities are available.
Infrastructure: There are highly qualified teachers teaching the course. No wi-fi is provided in the classrooms or the libraries. The classrooms are good enough to study but not so comfortable. Library is good and has a good environment to study. The food quality is not so good in the hostels and the canteen is also not good.
Faculty: The teachers of my course are helpful, understanding and friendly. Their teaching methods are also good to understand. This course curriculum is relevant making the students industry ready. The semester exams are equally tough and easy. Pass percentage is almost 70%.

Our college is good for students who want to pursue Ph.D.
Placements: Almost 60% of students are pursuing further studies. Less than 40% of students are doing jobs. The course fee is Rs, 25,000 per annum. Top recruiting companies are V Marts, IBM, and Reliance Private Ltd. Almost 20% of students got internships. Top roles offered are bank P. O., Indian foreign service, carter accountant, and principal of a primary school.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and clean. Almost all books are present in the library for a bachelor in physics. Computers are available for all students. There are three different laboratories. The hostel is available in our college. Almost 11 students can stay in a hostel room. Medical facilities are not available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. They are Ph.D. qualified. Some teachers are from IITG. Exams are moderate to difficult. B.Sc. in physics course is all about theory. Almost 90% of students pass exams. The pass percentage is 97%.

This is number 1 college in Nagaon.
Placements: Almost 80% of students are placed in this course. After completing graduation students appear in IIT, JAM, IISC, etc., for post-graduation. There are no internships in this course. You can get a dual degree in this college at the same time, and students can learn German language as well.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-stocked library with textbooks, novels, periodicals, and reference material for advanced research and development work. The library is fully computerized which helps in the learning process. We have a canteen, and they serve healthy food.
Faculty: Professors are experienced and highly qualified from reputed universities. Some teachers are Ph.D. scholars. Semester exams are hard. But you can pass easily with the help of notes provided by faculty members. The ratio between faculty members and students is 5:10 All professors have different teaching styles. There are exams throughout the year including the sessional exam and final exam.
Other: I chose this course, because of its job opportunities.

Nowgong College's cut-off for BSc courses in 2024-25 varied by stream. For BSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), the general category cutoff was around 75–80% in Class 12. For Life Sciences, it was slightly lower at 65–70%. Yet the general category have to push a little hard to reach the cutoff as

For B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry at Nowgong College, the latest CUET cut-off for general category was around 82–85 percentile. It may vary slightly each year depending on seats and applicants. Aim for a CUET score above 160/250 for better chances.
