I am completely disappointed with the way the administration leads the campus.
Placements: Around 20-30% of the total students got placed in on-campus placement drives. I am not aware of the highest and the lowest package. However, the average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Hexaware, Cognizant, and TCS. Many offers are related to the software development role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of classrooms and labs is above average. The hostel maintenance is top-notch. In our hostel, food, games, and indoor games facilities are available but the only thing missing is a canteen. There will be immediate response for medical emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are not up to the mark as I expected. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make students industry-ready, especially ECE, mechanical, and EEE students. Semester exams are very difficult for our department since we come under Anna University. The pass percentage is around 50%.
Other: I am interested in semiconductors which made me choose this course. The campus should focus more on students' skills according to their department and not based on the general software requirements. There are no such kinds of things in our college like no events, fests, and cultural programs.

It will be a game-changing for students.
Placements: In my batch, nearly 73% of students are placed. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Deloitte is the top recruiter. 50 to 60% of students from my course get internships in many companies like Kodnest and all. The GET role is the top role.
Infrastructure: In my college, there are air-conditioned halls and a library with central AC. You can use the library and classrooms with air conditioning whenever you want. In my hostel, they provide hygienic food to the students, and it costs around Rs. 90,000 per year. It is available for 3 years only.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, and staff is qualified, assisted, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is top-notch, and the course curriculum is relevant to whatever its relevant. It really makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not difficult at all.

It's really a good choice.
Placements: Actually, 70% of students are placed on the college campus itself. The highest package offered in the course is 7 LPA, the average package offered is 4.5 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Polycab offers the highest package of 7 LPA. There is no internship given to us, as I am from the core department. The GET role is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course include air-conditioned with computers, high-speed internet, and they assisted to help us. There is also a library with all volumes. My hostel has Wi-Fi facility, and labs are for those people who need to use them.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and assist students whenever they need help. They don't mind helping students. All teachers are PG graduates with doctorates. The course curriculum is relevant, and students are industry-ready and helpful to each other. The semester exams are not difficult, and all students clear them with a high pass percentage.

There is nothing to say about the college.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is 10%. The package is 3 LPA. 10% of internships are provided. The top internship company is Blackstraw. The highest package is 3 LPA. The top role offered is a software developer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available. Labs are well-equipped and maintained. Classrooms are below average. The library is well-stocked. There is good infrastructure. Hostel facilities are good and comfortable. The food quality is good. There is no canteen. Sports, games, and medical facilities are good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. It does not make us industry-ready. The faculty is helpful only in class. They do not help with education. They are qualified and good. The course curriculum is not relevant. Semester exams are easy are held by Anna University. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: AI is good for the future. The best thing is that it provides a good future. There are no events. The campus surroundings are good. There are no scholarships.

Dissatisfied with placements and some facilities, with good infrastructure, mess, and environment.
Placements: I’m part of the 2025 batch, studying Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Placements are not bad. Many companies visit our campus but they only provide opportunities we are the ones who have to grab them. So don't just rely on campus placements.
Infrastructure: All are good don't worry about it. Computer labs are in a good structure. Library is available but we don't have a separate period for that from 3rd year onwards. I don't know about hostel facilities but my friends told me that it has better facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful and have better teaching quality, but there are a few teachers who just act like they are teaching you. Some good teachers want to teach you willingly, but others are just acting. So, it is based on the teacher's character. Some are good and some are bad.
Other: First of all, I'm not expecting that I'm going to join this college. If you don't want any enjoyment on college campus or sports activity then I recommend this college.

I am absolutely dissapointed with the campus hiring in 2025.
Placements: 10% of students are placed in our class. The highest package is 9 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. The recruiting companies are HCL, Accenture, CTS, TCS, and Tech Mahindra. Most students got internships through CTS and Accenture. The most common role is trainee programmer. 20% of students are being selected.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our department include labs, classrooms, and a library. The labs are very good, but the classroom facilities are okay, not too good. In the hostel, food and accommodation are very good. The medical, games, and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: The teachers are okay, not too good. Some teachers are very good and helpful. The curriculum is very good, but teaching is okay. They provide 100% theoretical knowledge and 10% practical knowledge. Since we are affiliated with Anna University, the exams are very tough, and the pass mark is 40%.
Other: This course is very good for the future, but present, it's not that good. No companies are coming to our college for this course. It would be better if more hiring companies hired students and if there were good practical knowledge. There are zero events, connectivity, and the campus surroundings are okay. There are more crowds in our college.

Panimalar Institute of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply. |
