The honest review of Sairam.

Placements: 50 percent of students got placed from our course. The college provides placements in IT. In this college, the number of students studying in our department is about 35. Students studying so the risk for placement is increasing. The top recruiters are Cisco, HCL, and Cognizant.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is extraordinary. The food is also extraordinary. It is a good space for playing sports, but the only drawback is that the hostel is very strict. If you don't follow any rules, you will be asked by the trustee Balu to vacate the hostel.

Faculty: The curriculum is very good. The faculty is not experienced in teaching. They are normal in teaching. The semester exams are easy. The average pass percentage is 8 percent. But I can't tell, they provide the syllabus to make students industry-ready.

Other: This college is extraordinary in conducting college events and audio launches. About 2-3 audio launches happen in this college. Every year, the college events are extraordinary.

Good infrastructure but an average overall experience with mixed academics and facilities.

Placements: I would rate the placement around 3. Around 60 to 68 percent of students got placed through the campus. Many companies like TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant visit regularly. Mostly, this college has more IT companies, and placements are divided into 3 categories: Prime, Elite, and Normal. The package ranges from 3 to 25 LPA. 90 percent of students got placed in the 3 LPA to 8 LPA range.

Infrastructure: I would rate it 5 because the college infrastructure is very good, and there is a big stadium. Many movie audio launch functions and other events are also held here. Some events are free for students. The network is very bad, and only Airtel works well, but that is also not very high speed. The hostel is good. The food is also good, with non-veg served 6 days a week. The canteen is okay. The library is very big and good. They also have a sports day.

Faculty: In previous years, this college had very good teaching, but nowadays the staff just come and scroll through PDFs on the smart board. The pass percentage is around 90 percent, but they do not make students industry-ready. However, they conduct many helpful events like hackathons, innovation events, and other events.

Other: I chose this course because of my friends and family members. My current aim is to get placed in a good IT company. I learned coding because, without this course, I cannot get placed, so coding is a must nowadays in any language.

Placements: Good placement for CSE and ECE students. Below-average placement for other departments like Mechanical and Civil. The highest package is 54 LPA, the average package is 6 LPA, and the placement percentage is 84%. Top recruiting companies include HCL, TCS, JP Morgan, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good since the college is located near a forest. So there is not much internet connectivity. The hostel is good, but the fees are higher than those at many other colleges in Chennai. Hostel fees are Rs. 1,17,000 for non-AC and Rs. 1,67,000 (Rs. 1,17,000 + Rs. 50,000) for AC. For boys, In the first year, outing is only on Sundays (8:30 am to 1 pm). From 2nd to 4th year, outing is only on Sundays (1:30 pm to 8 pm). Girls are not allowed to go outside. They may go out once a month with their parents.

Faculty: Faculty members are very interactive and friendly with students. Every semester, three internal exams called CAT are conducted. CAT marks are used as internal marks (20 marks), along with online tests and assignments (20 marks. It makes a total of 40 internal marks and 60 marks for the semester exam.

Other: The college is very strict. It is next to Panimalar, where boys and girls do not talk to each other inside the campus. However, there are yearly cultural events for three days. This college is suitable for those who want decent placement opportunities.

Placements: Majority of students aiming for placements get jobs. The average package stays between 4–5 LPA. TCS, Accenture, and CTS are the major recruiters. Placements start from the end of the 3rd year. Full stack roles are more common than AI and Data Science-related roles.

Infrastructure: Facilities such as library, smart classrooms, and labs with internet connectivity are available. Food available in the canteen is good. Incubation is available to develop projects into real-time use cases. However, fewer opportunities are given for sports.

Overall, I had a wonderful journey in this college.

Placements: I am a B.Tech student currently pursuing the final year of my AI degree course at SSEC, batch of 2026. In my department, around 123 students are there, out of which around 70% of students got placed, and the remaining opted for higher studies as well as entrepreneurship.

Infrastructure: My college has every facility that is required for the smooth functioning of academia. Each department has a separate lab that is quite spacious. The library is quite huge and consists of up-to-date resources. Smart classrooms are available to make sessions interactive.

Faculty: A big shoutout to the faculty members who made us feel so comfortable throughout our college life. The teachers were very helpful and well-qualified. Most of them have done their doctorate, and the teaching quality is good. Also, the course curriculum is very in-depth, which consists of theoretical topics across the domain, but I felt that it would have been great if those topics that are covered theoretically could have been done practically as well.
