My honest review of my college.

Placements: Good companies visit our institute for placements in India as well as abroad. Many students get placements through college. The average package offered is 5 LPA. In India, the salary package offered ranges from 6-20 LPA. Accenture is the highest paying company of my batch with a package of 20 LPA.

Infrastructure: I did not get the hostel seat because I lived in a PG, and the rent is Rs. 5000 per month. As per my friends, the hostel accommodation is really good. Boys' hostel is called VKRV Rao, and girls are not allowed there after 6 PM. Facilities are good, especially. Hostels are good. The food served is the best and most hygienic. The fee is a little expensive.

Faculty: The course curriculum is excellent. There is a lot of focus on practical learning. The course curriculum is relevant, and research is conducted by the institute. The course curriculum is wide-ranging in variety. More focus should be made on the practical part of the management. Faculty members are average, and some are good. A few faculty members are not up to the mark. The course I am studying is good. Teaching staff and faculty members are the best in India at this college.

My honest review about my college.

Placements: There are many campus placements conducted in the college, and many reputed companies try to find their best employees from our college. Apart from regular recruiters like Deloitte, Sapient, ICICI Bank, LAVA, Bharti Retail, and TATA Power, the placement season this year also witnessed new names like InfoEdge (Naukri.com), SoftBank, Polaris, Unison International, Right Management, Salt Dee Fe, Emerson, Healthkart, and Dharma Life, among others.

Infrastructure: Rooms are spacious. First-year students have to share rooms, but from second year onwards they are free to decide whether they want to continue sharing or choose a separate room. Rooms are plenty, and there has never been any shortage. PGs had an average rental of 1200 during my time.

Faculty: The faculty is good. Students are taught by eminent professors and experts from the industry. Various case studies and business scenarios are discussed during the tenure. Projects are given to students for detailed reports, and their weightage is included in final marks. I chose HR because I was interested in the course, and there are really great and experienced teachers with postgraduate and doctorate degrees in the college. My college has NAAC A Grade with one of the best science as well as commerce faculty in Pune. Many faculty members are gold medalists in different subjects. For me, MBA is the best course because I come from a commerce background and it has good and high placement rates, especially in MBA. Term exams are tough, but we are doing an MBA, so we need to pass.

Review of Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship College.

Placements: There were about 55% of the students were placed in my department. The highest package was 9 LPA, and the average package was 5.5 LPA. The lowest package was 4.5 LPA. The students who got internships in several recruiting companies were 35%. Students look for better opportunities outside too.

Infrastructure: The facilities of our college are good; they provide Wi-Fi, smart board facilities, and others. The departments are well-designed. The library is also good; we can find all types of books there. The hostel is better; they offer Wi-Fi facilities, provide food and rooms to students, and keep the mess well-cleaned. Our college also organizes sports activities.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and possess good qualities. They help us to acquire good skills and learn new courses, which prepares us for the industry. The semesters are more challenging compared to tests, yet they are easy to pass.

Placements: There are good companies visiting our institute for placements in India as well as abroad. Most of the students got placed through the college. The average package is 5 LPA. It is not at all easy for the placement team to invite top leading companies to the college, but the team is very dedicated to becoming the bridge between students’ present and future and wants to truly be a stepping stone in their careers. I am very happy to be a part of this college, and this has led me to become a proud alumni.

Faculty: The course is excellent, with a strong focus on practical learning. There have been research activities done by the institute. The faculty here is very well qualified, with Ph.D. and MBA staff. They are very interactive with students. The faculty is well qualified and fully experienced in teaching the courses. I can interact with them anytime, as the faculty always clears all our doubts. The course curriculum is designed with one and only one objective, which is to guide students to become the best leaders/managers in their field and to show them the way to handle situations. The course includes a lot of assignments, projects, presentations, case studies, etc. We also visit various field trips to experience the industry firsthand and learn from those experiences. The college takes no step back in giving us different sorts of experiences.

Placements: From my college, many companies have selected students. Various types of companies come and conduct interviews, and many students have received good opportunities through these placements. They offer good packages, such as 3 LPA for fresh graduates, which is sufficient to meet their needs.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available in my college because it is located in a prime area and does not have enough space. Mess food is also unavailable, but there are two canteens available for boys and girls, and the food is good. The course/program helps students prepare for both domestic and global careers in any industry sector. They prepare students according to their interests and teach them accordingly. A lot of learning is imparted through both theoretical and practical methods.

Faculty: During exam time, it was very challenging to manage each day because the exam structure and seating arrangements changed for every exam. Also, in one room, there are three teachers assigned to supervise. I felt too intimidated to speak in the exam hall. My college has an NAC A Grade and has one of the best science and commerce faculties in Pune. Many faculty members are gold medalists in different subjects. We are proud to be part of a college with such a great faculty.

Review of Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship.

Placements: 80-90% of students from my batch were placed in various companies. The highest package was 12.5 Lacs, and the average package for mechanical placement is 7.5-8 Lacs per annum. Yes, students get internships also in various multinational companies. It has a very good PPO after the completion of the internship.

Infrastructure: Facilities available for my course include Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, and labs. The quality of the food is not as good compared to other colleges, but the medical facility is nice. We also have sports and games facilities, with monthly and weekly tournaments for students who want to play.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well qualified, like Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is good, and the course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are more difficult than those at other colleges, but they help in building students. The passing CGPA is above 9.
