PGDM-Rural Management (Emerging Economies)
'Creating Corporate Managers with Rural Insights'
2 Year Full - Time, Recognized by AICTE
Present intake : Mumbai - 60 seats
Program Objective
WeSchool's PGDM-Rural Management (Emerging Economies) program has stemmed from the need of the corporate sector for Managers/future leaders who have a deep understanding and premium knowledge about the rural sector of India in terms of the needs and aspirations, lifestyle, culture and beliefs of the people residing in the smaller towns and villages. A person who is empathetic has leadership qualities and has an innovative mindset so that s/he is able to think out of the box to correctly identify the problems and then find ingenious solutions to the problems faced by the rural sector.
The program seeks to groom students who, not only protect the rights of the persons living in the rural areas but also empower them by giving access to advancements in technology, markets and other comforts/privileges enjoyed by the urban population. They do this while assuming a role either as a Corporate Executive, NGO representative or an Entrepreneur.
To achieve developing these skills in the students, the course curriculum is focused on mainstream Management disciplines of Leadership, General management, Environment, Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR, Research, with a dedicated stream based on the Rural sector, and also includes Design thinking and Innovation based subjects that lets them have a human centered and a holistic approach to issues, rather than a "customer" or "market" approach.

It is a profile based selection. Apart from your entrance score, your academics, work experience, GD-PI have weightage. So just one factor can't be decisive enough.

No reservation for PGDM. It's a profile based selection. So your academics, entrance score, GA-PI, work experience and everything has weightage.

Your profile looks pretty decent. As it is a profile based selection, there is proportionate weightage given to all factors. So hope for the best. You have a good chance.

The finance department is pretty good and so are the placements. Summer internship's for finance through campus are not that good though. However, it is being worked on.
