If you are a person in any professional course such as CA, CS, CMA, or LL.B. I just want to help you
Placements: The percentage of students that got placed in the annual campus placement is 72 percent. The highest average package offered in this course is 6 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course and mid-size accounting and CA firms. The percentage of students who got an internship from my course is roughly around 30 to 40 percent. The top roles offered are manager, clerk, and assistant manager.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available include a library of 5000 books a reading hall, a park, a sitting area, water filters on each floor along with washroom facilities on most of the floors, and an auditorium where most of the cultural events are held. There is a dedicated separate ladies' common room. A major setback is that there is no canteen on the campus. However there are a lot of food stalls facing the college campus on the other side of the road.
Faculty: The teachers professionally mentor me who are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is mid considering the attendance of the students in every lecture. The course curriculum is relevant to an extent but it is certainly not enough to make the students industry-ready as it covers only the technical and theoretical aspects rather than focusing on practical and engaged learning. This semester exams for most of the subjects are really easy except accounts which range from the moderate to difficult level.

A good college option if you miss out on the top 3 colleges in Mumbai, great location.
Placements: Though I am a first-year student, I am aware of the placements that our college provides. I am a student of Bachelor's in Management Studies batch 25-28, and the top recruiting companies for my course include KPMG, Deloitte, Zomato, TCS, etc. The average salary offered on Campus is Rs 4.1 LPA, and the highest is 7.1 LPA. According to the Placement Cell Reports, 22% of the total students placed for the year 2024-25 were from the BMS programme.
Infrastructure: We, Self-financing Programme Students, have AC classrooms with Wi-Fi and smart LED screens for educational purposes instead of typical whiteboards. There is no hostel and canteen at the college, but there's a Nescafé in the parking lot of the college. There's a college turf a few metres away from the college and a garden area or outdoor gym on the college campus.
Faculty: The teachers are really experienced as well as well-educated for the current period of teaching. They are helpful and kind. The course curriculum is highly relevant and in accordance with the NEP 2020. There are subjects like IKS -Indian Traditional Knowledge System and EVS-Environment Studies, which help in getting a better view of the world around, while keeping in view the business aspects of it.
Other: The crowd here is really diverse. Not the SoBo vibe crowd, but people are really fun, kind and generous. There are lots of events that take place. Moneta is the key attraction for Finance enthusiasts.

Decent placements and facilities.
Placements: I am from the TY BFM batch 2025 to 26. Around 60 students get placed from the pool of 200 students. Big 4 companies, mid cap companies as well as startups come to recruit freshers for placements. The lowest package ranges from 2.4 LPA while the highest package goes up to 9 LPA. Job roles vary as per the companies for example, Risk Analyst, Research Analyst, Digital Marketing Associate, Actuarial Consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi for students. Classrooms are below average for B.Com and junior college students. Specialized courses like BFM, BMS, BBA, etc. A few classrooms are fancy and those are allocated for the same. There is no campus, hostel, and canteen facility as such. A small Nescafé outlet and that is it. There is scope for students who are interested in sports. Podar is renowned for sports and events.
Faculty: Faculty and teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. Teaching quality is great. Course curriculum is decent. To be industry ready one has to focus on real world applications and practicality whereas the course focuses on theories and sums which help in logical thinking but they do not help much while working for a company. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Although professors deduct marks in internals unnecessarily.
Other: I chose this course to learn more about stock markets. The best thing about this college is fests, events and extra curricular activities. I wish they improve the campus infrastructure and such facilities. They improved the reading room recently but there is no Wi-Fi connectivity there. Guess they will develop once the current batch passes out.

Strong foundation in commerce with helpful faculty and useful infrastructure.
Placements: I'm currently pursuing my first year in the B.Com course and though I haven't experienced placements directly yet I've gathered insights from seniors and faculty about the placement track record. Around 60 percent -70 percent of the students from the previous batch were placed. The highest package is 7 LPA-8 LPA offered by companies in the finance/consulting sector. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA-3 LPA and the average package is 4 LPA-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS Deloitte EY WNS Capgemini HDFC and Kotak Mahindra are some of the key recruiters for commerce students.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is well-maintained and suitable for commerce courses. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with proper seating and ventilation. Most classrooms have projectors and are Wi-Fi enabled, which helps during presentations or practical sessions. The college has a well-stocked library with a good collection of reference books, commerce journals, and access to online databases. It's a peaceful place for self-study. Since the course involves technical skills like Excel and finance software, computer labs are available and function properly for practical sessions.
Faculty: The teaching is a mix of theory and practical understanding. Some professors are very interactive and keep students engaged, while a few rely more on textbook teaching. Overall, the quality is good and improving. Semester exams are moderately difficult, not too tough if you attend lectures and stay consistent. Internal assessment (projects, tests, presentations) carries good weightage, so scoring is possible with proper preparation.

It is an empowered autonomous college that provides us with a wide range of options in B.Com.
Placements: It has an average placement cell, and it is not that good. There are medium packages in placements. Not many top companies visit the college to recruit students, Only a high percentage (O grade) students can get good placements, and others do not get that many good placements. Roles in finance and marketing are mostly offered to students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure should be improved and it is not that good for the college's reputation. We do not have a college canteen, and we only have a tie-up with Nescafe. There Maggi is good but expensive, Our auditorium doesn't have AC because it is a heritage college and it should have AC. There are not that good washrooms.
Faculty: It has average faculty members. Faculty members help us. Semester examinations are very difficult and useful for students. They provide the widest range of subjects in the course. The course curriculum helps very much to students and makes students industry-ready.
Other: Events, fests, and the campus crowd are the best things here. There are all types of people from lower to higher categories. It organises the best extracurricular activities.

If you are living in Mumbai and want to choose a local college only, go for it.
Placements: I am in B.Com (Actuarial Science), Podar. When it comes to academics is really great, so the placement percentage is quite high. I think the percentage might be around 80-85%, which includes big companies like PwC, JP Morgan, and Deloitte. You can even get internships easily at Podar.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, Podar is below average. There is no proper classroom allotment, no campus, and the library is very average. Only a few classrooms, for self-financing courses, are good. There is no hostel facility in our college. So, if you want a proper infrastructure and campus, this college isn't for you.
Faculty: I would say a few teachers are really good, and a few are very mediocre. The college is a very like school, you need to bring your parents, they conduct a PTM kind of thing once a year. The curriculum, I guess, is okay, and it is pretty easy to pass the semester exams. In my class, the pass percentage is 99%.
Other: Actuarial Science is only offered at Podar, and I chose it because of that. If you are doing a course which is better in other colleges, then please do not come to Podar. It's kind of a waste of time, nothing is good here.
