On Highlights
Q:   What is the Scope of Humanities and Social Science courses?
A:

Humanities as a stream provides a wide range of courses that can be studied after completing their 12th grade. Pursuing any of these degrees prepares you to understand the various levels of humanities and, as a result, carve out an appropriate job path. Candidates in the humanities can apply for positions in the government sector, such as banking firms, government ministries, legal firms, and political analysts.

Content Writer, Civil Services, Human Resource Manager, Defense Services, Lawyer, Journalist, Counsellor, and Therapist positions are available. As freshers, humanities graduates can expect to earn between INR 2-6 LPA.

Q:   Is BCom in Accounting and Commerce recognized globally? Are there any international job prospects?
A:

Yes, the BCom in Commerce and Accounting courses are well recognised in Commonwealth countries such as, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, especially when obtained form accredited universities. While in USA, Bcom alone would not be sufficient for accounting jobs, but pursuing additional certificates like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), can enhance your career prospects.

Q:   Which elective subjects are taught in the MSc IT program?
A:

Elective subjects are optional subjects chosen during the programme by students based on their preferences. Here are some basic MSc IT elective subject options given to students in India:

It is a very good college but needs improvement.
Placements: Around 20% of students got placed in this course. Top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. Every student gets a chance to do an internship. Top role offered is teacher.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connectivity is not good. Laboratories are average. Classrooms are not well-ventilated. Fans are not working properly. They also do not provide a generator facility. Our college does not provide hostel facilities. Medical facilities are average. There is a room for medical purposes. Sports are average in this college.
Faculty: Teachers speak Haryanvi and sometimes, it is difficult to recognize if they are talking rudely or not. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers also provide in-depth knowledge to students. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If we attend lectures regularly, we can score good marks in exams.
Other: I chose this course to become a lecturer. The best thing about this course is that the fee structure is budget-friendly. Our college should improve its teachers and practical knowledge. Events and fests are average. Our campus life is very good.

Rajiv Gandhi Government College for Women is not recommended.
Placements: This college is good for pursuing an undergraduate degree. Although it lacks exposure and is relatively less open to opportunities in the job market, it cannot be said that it makes students industry-ready. No companies come for recruitment on campus. It does not have any active placement cells.
Infrastructure: The college does have basic amenities like Wi-Fi on campus, and the classrooms are quite nice and accommodating. There is a garden for sitting. The college is relatively small and not the best in town. It also has a library, which is average.
Faculty: Teachers are resourceful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They are very sweet and helpful, but most of the teachers are local. The curriculum is easy and generally sticks to the books. I would not agree that it makes students industry-ready. Exams are held every semester and are easy to pass.

It is not a bad college, but not a very good one.
Placements: There is no placement cell in the college. We cannot expect any recruitments from the college while pursuing an undergraduate degree. No internship or training support is provided until students reach postgraduation. So far, my experience is that the college does not provide any support regarding placements to the students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are nice, big, and well-ventilated. The library is average, with books and resources. There are no sports facilities, but there is a first aid center in the college. There is a local canteen on the college campus. This college does not have hostel facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and mostly helpful. However, the studies generally stick to textbooks and lack industry exposure. The semester exams are easy to pass, and the pass percentage is good. The course curriculum is historic and somewhat relevant.
