Good infrastructure and tech fests. Nice college experience.
Placements: 21% of our branch ECEs have been placed in semester S7. Most students got placed at Tarento. Most of the students are placed in IT-related fields, and a few are placed in the Core fields of Electronics. A few students have been placed in companies like IBM and Electrifix.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Has a main library, and each department has its own individual library. Most classrooms have a projector. Every department has labs. Only some of the food on the menu is available. The food is good. Sports and games selection is done in an interval.
Faculty: Some of the teachers have great experience in their field and curriculum, and are very helpful in their studies. Teaching is good, but a bit slow at starting and rushes at the end of the semester. Semester exams are a bit difficult. Our batch has an average of 7.5 CGPA.
Other: I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering course due to my love towards electronic devices and circuit building. Some more events based on skills-building, hands-on experience should be added to the course. Tech fests and cultural fests are huge events.

Our Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam.
Placements: Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam, has a very good placement. Lot of companies are visiting year by year. Software and hardware companies are visiting the campus. At least half of the batch should get placed from campus. About 8 LPA is the average package.
Infrastructure: All the departments have free Wi-Fi. Students can use it without any payment. Our lab is well-maintained, and all equipment is working. Our college has a very large library containing all the books for students. Student take that for their reference. There are private and government hostels in our college.
Faculty: There are 2 internal exams per sem and an external exam. Kerala Technical University updated the syllabus in 2024, so the concepts are very clear. Exams are 100 marks. Each should gain at least 50 percent to pass the exam. From that, we should minimum score 26 in internal and 24 in external exams.
Other: There are different courses offered in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam. Computer Science, electrical and electronic engineering, electrical and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, robotics, etc.

Overall, the college is okay.
Placements: An average of about 70 to 80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 20 LPA, the average package is 9 LPA, and the lowest package is not known. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Google, Infosys, IBM, Tata, Mahindra, etc. Most students get internships. It includes paid ones, in the college in roles like Designer, Builder, Aerospace Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: I'm not quite sure about the infrastructure of the college hostel, as I stay in a private hostel. Only students whose hometown is far from the college get the college hostel. The hostel fees are minimal, and the food is very good. Facilities are okay. There is not much more to expect from these hostels. There is slight ragging, but we can't even call that ragging.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay. They teach decently. Although they are not the best, they are good enough. We cannot expect experts in every field to teach us. Faculty members are friendly, most of them. Some are not friendly, but that is the case in every college.
Other: I personally like mechanics, so I chose this stream. The college could improve its infrastructure, update the teaching methods, and syllabus. Events are okay. Do not expect IIT-level events.

Value for money college.
Placements: 5 to 10 percent of students get placed from this course. 75 students only 4 to 8 students get placed in Electrical engineering. Korean students get placed in Computer Science engineering. The highest package for Electrical Engineering last year is 5LPA and the lowest package offered is around 2LPA. Main company that recruiters from our college are from is Sobha Construction in EEE. 10 to 20 percent of students get internship on campus. Top courses offered are Control System Engineering and Power System Engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for a government college. Every department has a Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms look old. Benches are old. Library is good. Contains many books and can be taken whenever required. The facilities in the hostel are also good. Only 3000 per month and it has good food. It has volleyball court and a table tennis court.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and have knowledge of they are teaching. I think the course curriculum is also relevant especially the new scheme 2024 scheme. The question papers are prepared by KTU Kerala Technical University. The semester exams are moderate. Pass percentage is 70 percent.
