Review of the Ambedkar Nagar.
Placements: Placement in my college is not good. On campus, very few companies visit the college, mostly students apply for off campus and online placements. This year, in the electrical department 60% students got placed. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, and the average package offered is 3 to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average in my college, with almost basic things available like a gym, library, and student activities center. There are eight hostels in my college. The maintenance of the seven boys & one girls hostel
is very bad. In the hostel, a few washrooms are broken and damaged. Wi-Fi is available in all hostels.
Faculty: Faculty are good and well qualified. Labs are available, but a few machines are damaged and do not work properly. The system is very bad.
Other: Less crowd.

Faculty: Faculty are good. All faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. But the curriculum is not relevant for this generation and does not make students industry ready. In a semester, an end-semester exam and two class tests are held. Faculty provide average internal marks if you score in class tests.
Other: I chose this college because it is government-run and has low fees.

Decent infrastructure and facilities; there are proper working labs.
Placements: We got the highest placement of CTC 15 LPA for a senior in the electrical branch. As a tier 3 college, we don't expect too much, but having an average placement of 6 LPA is quite a good option. I mean, what could we expect from low ranks? The college placement is decent.
Infrastructure: The college's academic buildings and the admin buildings have perfect infrastructure. Hostels are good. The rooms are cleaner, and we get the sweeper three times a week. There are a total of 7 hostels if we count 1 girls' hostel and 6 boys' hostels. We get a different hostel in the first and second years; in the first and second years, we get the three-seater. In the third year, two options are available: a single seater and a double seater, as well. In the final year, we get a single room.
Faculty: There are a total of three branches in our college: IT, civil, and electrical. The faculty of the electrical department is supportive and kind; they are perfect for civil. I mean, what we are seeing, my batch is getting classes even on Saturday; that was their own mistake. The information technology faculty is quite good, but not as good as the electrical faculty.

My college is good value for money and has low fees.
Placements: My college placements are very poor. Approximately 50% of students got placed in 2024, with the highest package being 6 LPA and the lowest 1.8 LPA. Most of the recruiting companies are sales-based, such as Rinex and Meil, which are not very good. The college does not provide adequate support for placements, and the placement cell is very weak.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average compared to other colleges. There are 8 hostels in my college, but they are average and lack cleanliness. The bathrooms are in poor condition and damaged. There is a lack of grounds for cricket, football, and other sports, and no sports facilities are available in the college recreation area.
Faculty: Faculty is average, like in other government colleges, but internal marks are not provided by the faculty. In one semester, two class tests and one semester exam are held in my college. The labs are average, but some lab components are damaged. The lab faculty do not provide much support to students.
Other: Two fests are held in my college, and scholarships are provided by the UP government.

Take it only if you do not have the option to drop out or not get any better colleges.
Placements: Most students here either prepare for GATE or government exams. Placements are just average. Only mass recruiting companies visit campus and the rest depends on our skills since college gives enough time for skill building. Like last year, less than 10 students out of a batch of 60 from Information Technology got placed, and that too with off-campus drive.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of hostels is even better than some of the old Tier 1 colleges since we get single occupancy rooms in 3rd year and final year which have 24/7 LAN facilities. College infrastructure is just like a school classroom and not fancy like what we would expect from Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good and are willing to teach and we enjoy attending their classes whereas some are just here to come and get done with their job. We get enough time to build our skills though since nobody is concerned about attending college regularly. There is no attendance policy.
Other: I chose this course because of the tag of a government institution and getting a branch like Information Technology. Events in the college are okay. I'd advise not to come here with a lot of expectations, especially in the case of fests and events. They are just like school annual functions.

REC Ambedkar Nagar at a glance.
Placements: Placements here are below average, to be very honest. Most of the students are not placed at all in our branch, which is the electrical engineering branch. The placement cell is there in college, but it is not very active; there are some students who get placed off - campus.
Infrastructure: Hostels are plus points here; there are separate hostels for each year, one for girls , one for lateral entry students and the third year has two hostels .
All hostels are 3 - seater except for the hostel for final-year boys, which is the Atal boys hostel.
Faculty: Faculty here is decent . They are of a supportive nature and helpful towards students .
The course curriculum used is given by AKTU University, which is quite old.
Semester exams are also conducted by AKTU University itself, which are not too difficult.
Other: This course is totally value for money. I mean, tuition fees here are 40,000, where else you can do B.tech in this price range.
