Yes, CUET UG exam 2026 date has been announced. National Testing Agency has scheduled CUET 2026 exam from May 11 to May 31, 2026. Candidates willing to appear for the exam must make sure to register for the exam online. As per the updated CUET 2026 exam date, the registrations will close on January 30, 2026.
Candidates can check the CUET 2026 allotted exam centre upon release of CUET intimation slip and CUET admit card. Every participating university has multiple colleges/departments in affiliation offering seats based on CUET 2026. CUET counselling process remains identical for all colleges affiliated to a single university; however, different universities will have different counselling and seat allocation process. With multiple colleges under CUET participating universities, there will be various rounds for CUET 2026 seat allotment.
More than 200 universities accept CUET scores for admission, all participating universities have a separate counselling process, including the CUET seat allocation process. There is no centralised counselling process for universities accepting CUET scores. For example University of Delhi has been offering UG admissions via CUET using the CSAS portal. While other universities may have a different process for CUET seat allotment.
The typical process for CUET 2026 seat allotment is as follows:
- Filling admission forms released by different participating universities accepting CUET scores.
- Candidates have to enter their CUET exam details, including hall ticket number, sectional and overall scores while filling the form.
- Filling preferences for colleges and programmes based on CUET scores.
- Screening of applicants for admission based on numerous factors.
- Publication of CUET seat allotment list on the university website.
- Exercising options, such as accepting or rejecting seats allotted based on CUET exam scores.
