Well, the Regional College of Nursing (RNC) was the best nursing college in Guwahati.
Placements: I was from the 2017-2021 batch of the B.Sc. Nursing course. I got into this college through the government state quota. Almost all of my classmates got jobs, and campus placements were available. People from all over the state and other countries came for campus placements, so the students didn’t have to worry about getting a job.
Infrastructure: The college library was available, and all the laboratories for the specific subjects were present. The classrooms were spacious and very neat. The college building was located far from the traffic, which made it very good. The hostel was beside the college building, making it easy to access during lunch breaks and after clinical duties.
Faculty: Teachers of my college were the best. I had never met any other teachers like them. All of my lecturers were very smart and intelligent. The course was hard, but with the help of my lecturers, I was able to learn properly. All the practicals were taught properly.
Other: I didn't make any mistake in taking this course at this college. This college was the best. Best of all, the admission fee was only Rs. 160. The state entrance exam was needed to gain admission to my college.

Our college provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Currently, there are a total of 75 students in our batch. Students can get up to 1 LPA after graduation. All the students are provided 1 year of internship program. There are many companies in India and from other countries like US and Singapore that are interested in recruiting North Eastern nurses.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library are available for all the classes. We have hostel facility, but due to the unavailability of hostel seats, some of our classmates couldn't get a hostel. They are staying in nearby PGs. The semester system has started only this year, i.e., from our batch onwards. Before, it was a yearly course program of 4 years.
Faculty: All of our teachers are well-educated in their different fields. They are well experienced in teaching as well as professional areas. This course is undoubtedly relevant and helps in making students industry-ready for the nursing profession.
Other: I wanted to be in the medical field, but I couldn't crack NEET. After that, I thought of giving a chance to myself in this field. The best thing about this course is that it can help you build your personality and improve your communication skills.

Infrastructure is improving, transportation is poor but placement is good. College fees is very less
Placements: 1. 50 students get seats every year in our college. 2. In private institutions, you will get 12-19k whereas in government institutions you may earn 25k- 60k. However, it all depends on the type of institution and type of designation. 3. TATA Trust, Narayana, GNRC are the recruiting companies. 4. Nursing matron, assistant matron, ward in charge, nursing officer, community health officer, nursing staff, nursing professor, lecturer are the roles offered. 5. Companies from countries like Japan have offered 5 lakh/month package. Others have offered 12-20k but if u crack entrances you will get a salary of 75k approximately. 6. 100% job guaranteed course. The internship is included in the course curriculum after completion of the course. All the students get jobs and topmost companies like TATA, Narayana provide opportunities.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped, Wi-Fi is available but only accessible for official work, classrooms are okay, toilets are clean. The college bus is available, auditorium is under construction. Also, there is a beautiful hostel nearby where lodging is free. You only have to pay the mess fees and like every hostel, many hostellers don't like the hostel food.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, experienced and knowledgeable too. Teaching quality is good, lab practicals are done weekly. The teachers also supervise in the clinical area. Demonstrations are taken and as you know nursing has got many assignments. The teachers provide us many assignments. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready.
Other: 1. The course provides a 100% job guarantee so I chose this. You will get to know about various drugs and diseases. 2. A little less assignment would work better and focus on skills and applied knowledge will not only improve the course but the overall health sector too. 3. Every year college week, workshops, and many other occasions are celebrated. The stipend is provided to all the students of Assam pursuing this course.
