Qualified staffs and teachers but barriers in language for NE students.
Placements: 60 students were placed for both B. Pharma and D. pharma and different states have different seats (like the number of seats offered) The highest package was Rs 21000 while the lowest package was Rs 17000. Many students passed out and got recruited into private companies such as Apollo and other top companies and we currently have 3 courses, Allopathy, Homeopathy and Ayur Veda.
Infrastructure: The college is fine but the main problem is the lab. It's not well maintained and the chemical runs out towards the end of the experiments and so we had to complete our course without doing some practical, lab can be upgraded. The hostel is quite good and the basic amenities are running well, with Wi-Fi, endless supply of water and there's a lot of activities in the college curriculum including seminars, workshops and sports and activities .
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, some B. Pharma while others MPHARM qualified. Their teaching are good but the main problem is that at times they can't speak English and so they teach in Bengal language which becomes a barrier for other North Eastern students. And inorder to pass, you have to get at least 50% with at least 75% attendance .
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in medical line and I aim to pursue B. Pharma, work as a pharmacist and also become drug instructor. It is my passion and desire to be successful in Pharmacy someday .

Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.Pharma | Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his/her parent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 years. Candidates of All India Services Officers born in Manipur-Tripura cadre and the children of the employees of State Government posted outside Tripura, are eligible to apply. Candidate who is allotted a seat in the past inside or outside the State on the basis of the result of Tripura Joint Entrance Examination he/she shall not be eligible to appear at the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination in current year or subsequent year unless he/she has surrendered the allotted seat in writing within specific time to the appropriate authority. Candidate is not permanent resident of Tripura but his / her parent is an Officer on deputation to the Government of Tripura / Officer of the Central Government working in Tripura continuously for a period of 3 or more years are eligible to apply. Candidate parents must have been staying in Tripura continuously for not less than 5 (five) years immediately prior to the date of applying are eligible to apply. |
