Placement rate from 2023 to till date is very amazing. Companies are hiring students from college.
Placements: Placement rate is the best in this college. The highest package is 53 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA-7 LPA, and the average is 7 LPA. The college is NAAC A+ accredited. It is the only college in Uttarakhand after IIT Roorkee. Companies like IBM, AWS, Deloitte, Jio, etc., hire students. Placement training is conducted by the experienced faculty members.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are all excellent. Cleanliness is also maintained everywhere. Hostel life is amazing. Every facility is provided. Food is also amazing. Medical facilities are also available. The courts are also available for sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable. The semester external examinations are difficult, but you can clear them if you study well.
Other: I chose this course because it has value for money. Now its craze is spreading across all the states. Fests are also held amazingly here.

Not satisfied because of the bad placement record.
Placements: Placement percentage is very low. The highest package offered is 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is 0 LPA. The top recruiting company is Finastra. Very few companies visit the campus. The college does not provide internships. Students themselves have to crack and get internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the college are only average. They provide better food compared to other college messes. They have Wi-Fi and a library with basic facilities. However, since placements are not good. Facilities feel less useful.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, they focus more on academics rather than skill development. Semester exams are difficult. Many students get backlogs, which are hard to clear later.
Other: I chose this course because AI/ML was a hype at that time. Skill development should be given more importance than academics, as academics alone are not very useful. The college organizes only one fest and not much more than that.

My overall experience at RIT.
Placements: Placements at RIT Roorkee were generally decent, with strong corporate outreach. A large portion of students fell in the average salary bracket of 8–10 LPA. The highest package reached the 18–22 LPA range. The placement team was very supportive.
Infrastructure: RIT had a well-maintained, green, and secure campus environment. It had modern smart classrooms and high-speed 24/7 Wi-Fi. The college had advanced computer labs, an Apple iOS lab, and an Adya agentic AI lab. They also had a virtual lab in collaboration with IIT Roorkee and IIT Ropar.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly experienced and well-qualified. They were supportive, with strong academic rigor. Quality of teaching was good. Faculty and college management enforced a strict attendance policy. It was sometimes challenging, but overall it was good.

Placements: 96 percent of students got placed. The highest package was 7 LPA. The average package was 5 LPA. The minimum package was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Tata Group, Havells, ASC International, Amardeep, Voltas, Chetu, and Sundaram.
Infrastructure: Campus was Wi-Fi enabled, along with huge labs and AC classrooms. A digital library was available. Quality of food was good and hygiene was maintained. Medical facilities were available. Sports facilities were also provided on campus. Overall, good facilities were provided.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum was relevant, though somewhat difficult, but teachers made it easy to understand.
Other: The environment was good, with a healthy atmosphere, knowledgeable faculty members, and a clean campus.

A perfect college for knowledge.
Placements: RIT Roorkee provided a strong placement record, as around 85%+ students were placed with good packages. The internship and placement records were very good. Multiple companies such as Finastra, Quantacus, Amazon, and TCS visited the campus.
Infrastructure: It was a perfect campus for academics with multiple specialized labs. The campus had 40+ labs with integration from IBM, Agentic AI, MongoDB, and Juniper. Hostel facilities were very good. The food quality was also very good.
Faculty: Faculty members were very supportive. Teachers were helpful and knowledgeable with good industry experience. The curriculum was considered updated and totally industry-oriented with advanced training. Exams were conducted on a monthly basis for the preparation of final semester exams.

Placements: Around 80-90% of students were placed in the course. The highest package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest 3 LPA, and the average was around 5-6 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini. Around 70% got internships in IT firms. Roles offered were Software Developer, Analyst, and QA Engineer.
Infrastructure: The department had good Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities were decent with clean rooms and average mess food. Medical support was available on campus. Sports grounds and indoor game facilities were also good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and supportive, with good teaching quality. The curriculum was relevant and provided industry exposure through projects and practicals. Semester exams were moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage was usually around 85-90%.
Other: I chose this course for its strong career opportunities in the IT field. The best parts were practical learning, placements, and supportive faculty. More industry exposure would help. Campus life, fests, connectivity, and extracurricular activities were enjoyable and active.

Roorkee Institute of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

MCA1.Candidates Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination from any recognised University and 2.Candidates having Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level.
B.E. / B.TechCandidates must have passed a Diploma with 50% marks in aggregate in relevant stream from recognised board/ institute.
B.Sc.Candidates passed 10+2 or equivalent from recognised board are eligible to apply.
BMLTCandidates passed 10+2 or equivalent from recognised board are eligible to apply.
