Admission to various courses is based on merit and CET entrance exam (Creative Ability Test). CET comprises of Creative Ability Test (CAT) 60%, General Ability Test (GAT) 10% and Situation Test 10%. Also, aspirants need to appear for the Personal Interview (20%) round post CET on the same day. 

Certain seats are reserved for NRI/ Management Quota. They need to come for a personal interview at Satyam Fashion Institute with prior appointment.

The last date to apply to Satyam Fashion Institute for the intake year 2024 will be June 20, 2024. Its application forms are available online on their official websites. Admission involves an entrance examination called Creative Ability Test CET, which tests the creativity and general ability of the students, followed by a personal interview. It is therefore obvious that a student should prepare before joining university in order to increase chances of selection in the preferred course of study.

Satyam Fashion Institute is affiliated with SNDT Women's University, Mumbai, and also offers courses approved by UGC (University Grants Commission). The institute offers undergraduate, short-term, postgraduate, value-added, and other courses to students across Textile Design, Fashion Design, and various other streams.

Satyam Fashion Institute offers BDes in four specialisations, at the UG level. On the other hand, at the PG level, the college offers a two-year PG Diploma in Fashion Design and MDesign (Interdisciplinary).  Satyam Fashion Institute also offers short-term and various value-added courses to students.
