Satyam School of Journalism and Mass Communication Scholarships and Funding

Scholarship for BMM Students:

Following scholarship categories (up to 10% on the first-year fee) are available to the students of BMM:
1) Merit Scholarship– For those candidates having 80% or above in the qualifying exam
2) Sister Concession – Applied if two real sisters are studying, then either of the two would get the concession
3) Satyam Staff – For the daughter/ real sister of the SFI (Satyam Fashion Institute) staff
4) Defence/ Army/ Paramilitary/ Indian Navy/ Police personnel’s ward
5) Doctors in Government hospitals/ Paramedical staff of Government hospitals’ ward

Note: Special seats for physically challenged candidates (only with locomotor disability) or differently-abled (Limited to a maximum of 5 seats in the given academic year)

Financial Assistance:

Eligibility:
- Should be an Indian Citizen
- Should have secured admission to higher education courses in recognized institutions in India through Entrance Test/ Merit Based Selection process after completion of HSC (10+2 or equivalent)
- In the states where there is no common entrance test (CET), the applicant must secure 60% for others (55% for SC/ST students) in the qualifying examination as cut-off marks
- The student applicant should not be in gainful employment

Purpose of the Loan:
- To meet educational expenses such as tuition fees, hostel fees, cost of books, exam fees, and airfare (for studies abroad) for pursuing any Graduation/ Post-Graduation/ Diploma course in an Institution recognized by the State/ Central Government/ University
- For job-oriented professional/technical courses from reputed universities abroad
- To finance individuals who undertake a training program to acquire skills needed to join as pilots

A good option for journalism.

Placements: I am a bachelor student so around 60-70% of students get placed from our college premises. If I talk about internships, every single student who is interested in an internship is doing one provided by our college. We even get an opportunity to work with government officials.

Nice field experience and internship opportunities.

Placements: There are many placement offers, but they're not highly paid or from big channels. There are a lot of internship offers in our college. Almost every student has gotten an internship. I did my first internship in the first year at OneIndia, and currently, I am doing my second internship.

Placements: More than 50% of students are placed in this course. The package is the same for all students, but for those facing financial problems, the package is reduced by 100%. Up to 80% of students get internships in PR, editing, advertising departments, and news channels, based on their choices.

Hands-on learning and industry-relevant training in media.

Placements: The college offers excellent field exposure with numerous internship opportunities. Every year, students are given an equal number of opportunities. Even 1st-year students start internships if they are capable of doing so. Many news channels and PR agencies have selected students from our college.

Facilities and management are really good.

Placements: Journalism and mass communication-related roles include anchoring, advertising, public relations, graphic designing, reporting, and many more. Our college offers a whole curriculum so that students can choose their area of interest in the future.
