The School of Distance Education and Learning (SODEL) of Jaipur National University was established in the year 2008. The school got approval from the Distance Education Council (DEC) and AICTE in 2009 to offer various programmes at UG and PG level. It provides a benefit to the students for learning at their own pace and convenience, especially to those who have socio-economic/ family/ geographic/ professional constraints. The school makes learning accessible through Self-Learning Material (SLM) which is in print, delivered at the doorsteps of the learner. The study material also contains self-learning exercises and check your progress questions.

Shifting From Regular to Distance-Learning Mode: The students who are pursuing any of the regular courses from Jaipur National University and unable to continue because of any valid reasons are allowed admission to SODEL JNU Jaipur. Such students are awarded degree under distance mode, but the marks obtained by them in their regular examinations are counted if they have passed the examination of the concerned programme in which they are seeking admission. |

SODEL Jaipur National University Admission Process
SODEL Jaipur National University admissions are conducted twice a year in January and July sessions. Currently, the school offers a total of ten UG and PG courses in various specialisations. Candidates, who meet the given eligibility criteria, need to fill an application form to apply for a particular programme. To facilitate the reach of the students, the school has recently started accepting online applications. However, one can also download the prospectus along with application form or buy the same from the admission office of JNU Jaipur. The course-wise SODEL Jaipur National University admission details are given below:
- Candidates, who have completed Class 12 from a recognised board, can apply for UG programmes
- A candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree to apply for PG programme
- Selection of students to both UG and PG courses is based on the aggregate score obtained in last qualifying degree/ exam, and on a first-come-first-serve basis

SODEL Jaipur National University Courses
The school offers BA, BSc, BCA, BBA, and BCom programmes at UG level. The minimum and maximum time required to complete the UG courses is three and six years, respectively. At PG level, MA, MCA, MBA and MSc programmes are offered for a duration of two years, while the maximum time allowed to complete the same is four years. MCA programme is also offered in lateral entry mode. The course duration in such a case reduces to one year. SODEL Jaipur National University’s flagship programme is MBA, which is offered in 15 specialisations.
