Supportive teachers, practical learning, and great exposure are strengths.

Placements: M.Sc in Counselling Psychology batch of 2024–2026 has seen placements where around 15 out of 26 students from the previous batch are placed, while others pursued different plans like M.Phil., and in one earlier batch, all 30 students are placed. Freshers earn around 2.5–5 LPA in India, with higher salaries possible abroad with experience. Top recruiters include schools, colleges, hospitals, mental health institutions, NGOs, and corporate wellness firms. Most students intern in schools, hospitals, NGOs, and counselling centres based on their interests, with top roles offered as school counselor, mental health practitioner, behaviour therapist, research assistant, and wellness coach.

Infrastructure: Department has Wi-Fi, classrooms, a counselling lab, a family counselling centre, and a good library. Hostels are decent with basic amenities, mess food is average, and the canteen offers snacks and simple meals. The campus provides basic medical support, a gym, courts for sports, and indoor games, along with an amphitheatre, a small garden with stone benches, and space for student activities.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable; they make classes engaging and guide us through creative presentations and practical learning, providing constructive feedback that really helps. The course is well-structured and industry-relevant, preparing us for real-world roles through hands-on experience and internships in psychiatric hospitals, schools, de-addiction centres, early intervention centres, and more. Semester exams are quite manageable with regular study, and in our class, no one has failed in the first two semesters. While we don’t know exact stats for previous batches, overall, the pass rate has been good.

Other: I chose M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology to understand human behaviour and help others emotionally, the course offers practical exposure, supportive faculty, creative presentations, workshops, and internships in hospitals, schools, de-addiction centres, and early intervention settings. We have national-level fests and a 4-day study tour with 1 fun day. Better infrastructure and wider promotions would help the course gain more recognition, and more focus on modern therapy techniques would be useful. The peaceful campus, friendly crowd, scholarships, cultural events, and decent city connectivity make the experience fulfilling.

Absolutely fantastic faculty, average placements in 2023, average infrastructure, greenary campus.

Placements: We are usually placed in counselling centres in and around Bangalore as we just completed bachelors but the students from Masters do get lot of opportunities of placement all over with better package. For Masters in counselling psychology, the students are usually placed in schools, colleges, and hospital.

Infrastructure: Labs, library, Wi-Fi, classrooms are good. The quality of canteen foods are a bit upto the price though. Sports and games are given importance as well. We have separate psychology and criminology labs with good exposure to practical which gives the overview of our related works.

Faculty: The teachers are really best and they cover all the wanted curriculum of the course. We also have internships which make us ready for work. The semester exams are average. The pass percentage is more than 90 but not really sure about it. The course syllabus is totally related to the subjects.

Other: B.A. in psychology has a best faculty in here than in any other colleges in Bangalore. The events conducted here are creative and innovative. The fests from here widely known for its creativity.

I'm satisfied with the environment of my college.

Placements: From this years current seniors batch, about 80% of them have already been placed. The top recruiting companies are just schools and colleges. The top roles offered in our course are counsellor and therapist The highest package as what I've heard from the seniors was 40k per month, the lowest I heard was 18k per month so that average is about 25-30k. 100% of the students from my class got internship mainly in Yenepoya and BARC.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my course is vast. We mainly make use of the library and practical materials. My friends live in hostel and they said that facilities and quality of food is pretty decent. The food available in the canteen is good but would've been better with more options.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is really good. Yes, the course curriculum is up to date and relevant. It makes the students industry ready as we get well versed with all the techniques. The semester exams in the college are good. The pass percentage in my class is 100%. .

Other: I chose this course because I have great interest in counselling. The best things about my course are practicals and hands on experience. The things I wish would be better is if we could get more industry knowledge.
