Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU), Bangalore was set up in 2010 by the efforts of Government of Karnataka. KSU is one among the 31 other Sanskrit institutions in Karnataka. The University promotes the traditional system of education, and focuses on the development of Sanskrit language through its four wings which are administrative, research, publication, and teaching.

Karnataka Samskrit University admissions are conducted through offline mode. Here are some important highlights regarding admission to the courses offered by this University:

• Admission to the BA programme is based on the entrance exam conducted by the University
• Applications for BA and MA programme must be submitted on or before June 30
• Selection to Certificate and Diploma course is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam (PUC)
• The University releases notification for Certificate and Diploma courses in the second week of June and classes begins from the third week of July
• For MA programme, candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored graduation
• Admission to the MPhil and PhD programme is based on the marks scored in the entrance test conducted by the University itself
