Our college is a way to get knowledge.

Placements: SCMS College of Polytechnics was founded in the year 1976. It offers diploma courses in various engineering and technical branches. Admissions to this college are strictly based on merit only. Students have to fill the application form online. With around 25 faculty members in the institution, the college imparts quality education in all the diploma specialised courses to meet the industrial needs in the trend. Placements in our college are not that much great. Our college offers some value-added courses to upskill the students in all possible ways. They also provide good placements in multi-national companies.

Infrastructure: The college has a huge library for the benefit of the students. Many sources are also available online so that they can be accessed without any hustle. The college provided a variety of labs in order to inculcate technical skills and expertise while pursuing the specialised diploma courses. The college provides hands-on experience to the students consists of a workshop room. It is well-equipped with drilling machines, smithy, carpentry, electrical work tools, etc. The college provides air-conditioned conference halls with projectors, audio systems, video conferencing, and other requirements for organising various academic-related events.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good and excellent in the educational sector. The college has skilled teachers. The management has experience in the educational sector for more than 20 years. The pass percentage is 90%. The campus builds a perfect atmosphere to study and aim higher. They help us to build our careers by preparing us in a unique and disciplined way.

Review of SCMS College of Polytechnics.

Placements: Placements were very good. Top recruiting companies visited our college for recruitment. Students who scored 70-90% of marks were eligible for placements.

Infrastructure: Around 5,000 books were available in the library. The library remained open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Laboratories were well-equipped. All facilities were available such as carpentry, foundry, and basic electrical works. Workshop also had lathes drilling machines, round saws, etc. Computer laboratory had around 60 terminals. Internet connectivity was also available. Basketball and volleyball courts were available in this college. There was a decent library in this college.

Faculty: Teachers were very good. The course curriculum was very good. We had 6 semesters in this course. Two-semester exams were conducted each year. More than 6 subjects were available in this course.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. Many opportunities were available in this course. Our college should improve its infrastructure. Technical fests and cultural events were conducted in this college.

Candidate should be a citizen of India. Candidate must have passed SSLC-Secondary School Leaving Certificate/THSLC-Technical Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate (10th standard) or equivalent examination with Mathematics, English and Science subjects. Candidates are also eligible who have passed 10th grade examination with Mathematics-Standard from CBSE school. For CBSE/ICSE/Open school candidates, the Marks/Grades obtained in Science is considered for calculating grade in the place of Physics and Chemistry. Candidate who has used more than two attempts to secure eligibility for higher studies in SSLC/THSLC or equivalent examinations is not eligible for admission. (Attempts made through “Betterment” or “SAY” (Save a Year) examinations are not counted in the attempt limit.)
