B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2020
3.6

Our college has a beautiful atmosphere, good infrastructure, and faculty.
Placements: Generally in our college, mechanical department students are placed more than other departments. The civil department had only one company for placement. In the mechanical department, the highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Almost 50 to 60% of students do internships during college and course tenure.
Infrastructure: Our college is at Asangaon, Thane which is far away from the main city Mumbai. While going to college you will find a village atmosphere, fresh air, and a large campus. The buildings are quite well developed and not high rise. There is a garden also built behind the college building. We have more space available to play sports.
Faculty: Faculty members in our civil engineering department are good. Everyone corporates with students. Teaching is also good. Practicals are held in college regularly so students learn about industrial knowledge as well. There are industrial visits organised done by the college for students. Semester exams are not difficult for me as I study regularly but was worried to score good marks. I got 66.84%.
Other: I chose civil engineering because I have a passion for road, highways, and how they are built. More practical Knowledge should be given and added to the course.

Our college has good and supportive teaching faculty members.
Placements: Around 30%-40% of the students from our course got placements. The highest salary package offered was around 4 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Many companies visited here for placements with good salary packages. Many of the students got placed, but they select only top-grade students, so academically average and below-average students hardly get placed.
Infrastructure: Good quality food is served in the canteen, and there is no hostel facility. Our college has a good infrastructure and lab facility. The library is available with a wide range of reference books, which are really helpful
Faculty: There are good and supportive teaching faculty members. They are helpful, and they are nice and help in any situation. They are always available to us. The course curriculum was relevant, and many industrial seminars are conducted during 3 years course. Many top graded seminars are conducted, which helps students understand the course in a well manner. So, it's helpful to get industrial-ready.

Campus is good. They have labs but especially for this course they are not that great.
Placements: This is the new course and my batch is the second batch. I am currently in the 3rd year and I don't know much about the placements because my seniors don't get it right now. I am confused about it so I am hoping to get placed next year. Course is good.
Faculty: The course has great potential but faculty members are poor. They don't conduct daily lectures and faculty members are not that good at subjects they are teaching us. If you are dedicated enough to do the self learning this is good course and they are not strict about attendance. They conduct exams on time there is no issue regarding that. Course curriculum is awesome and informative.
Other: I chose this course because I have huge interest in robotics and I love machines. I have to learn everything on my own. I am just paying fees for the degree.

The college is good in terms of fee and infrastructure. Our faculty are cooperative.
Placements: Companies like Axix Bank, L&T, and Godrej, etc., visited the campus for placements. Only a few students got placed here. You have to search for placements on your own. My seniors were not offered any placement opportunities. The placement percentage is very low. Very few companies especially banks visited the college for placements. If you are looking for placements, then don't take admission in this college.
Infrastructure: The campus is very big. It has Wi-Fi, labs, big classrooms, and sports rooms. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls. We have a big playground, and the college also has its own canteen. The quality of the food offered is not good. There are no hostels available on the campus. The are no issues with the infrastructure.
Faculty: Teaching faculty are good, but the administration staff are not cooperative. The HOD is also supportive. There are seminar halls where faculty members teach us with the help of projectors. Some guests lectures are arranged for the students. Every year, the college also organises industrial visits.
Other: Every year, an event named Nakshatra is held in the college. The college also conducts events like Techbkizz and some sports events.

Think before you take admission in SSJCET Asangaon.
Placements: We did not get placed as the college did not put efforts into doing that. The placement officer only comes and checks the facilities, but does nothing. However, it is all expected. It also depends upon the quality of students, which that is beyond explanation. None of the departments received visits from potential recruiters, and the college bluffs about it every time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college in the first year was really bad, and later on, things changed suddenly. I think someone provided funds to the college, and things started to improve all of a sudden. The infrastructure was really good. I did not find any issues with the infrastructure. The college was located in a remote place.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college were not up to the mark. They only used to brag about their credits and did nothing unusual than sitting and commenting on the education system. I cannot blame all of them since the quality of students was also weak. Moreover, these days engineering is just a degree, and the real game is the corporate life.

It has a good campus and faculty. It has outdated teaching, poor washrooms, and weak placements.
Placements: I am from a B.E in computer engineering and from batch 2027. The placement percentage is 10-20% I guess. The top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, Axis Bank, Reliance, and Flipkart. I don't know much about packages offered at the college. But what I know from seniors is it is very low. College provides internships during this course which is free of cost and it is a virtual internship. Almost 60% of students get internships by EduSkills.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay but in a few classrooms, fans don't work. The library is also good and it has a vast collection of books, journals, newspapers, and magazines. The campus does not have Wi-Fi. Even Wi-Fi in labs does not work properly. Many computers in labs don't start and few start but don't work properly. The canteen provides good varieties of food options and food quality and test has improved. Every year, sports events and extracurricular activities happen in college. The campus is big. It has laboratories and sports facilities. The college provides a gym and a canteen with good food. Washrooms in the department are in very bad condition. There is no water in washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally well-qualified and supportive. They are approachable when students need academic or project-related help but few teachers could enhance their teaching methods. Students find them helpful for doubt clearing and mentoring. The course curriculum follows the University of Mumbai structure. They provide good theory knowledge but students feel they could update to more recent technologies and industry content. The college does try to fill the gap by providing seminars and workshops. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The college takes internal tests, assignments, term work, and written exams.
