SILB celebrates 22 years of glory
April 16, 2025: Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB) marked its 22nd Foundation Day on April 13 with great pride and enthusiasm. Established in 2004 under the visionary leadership of Prof. P.K. Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University, SILB has made significant strides in education and research over the past two decades.
The three-day celebration began with a Havan ceremony, attended by all foundation members and guests. As part of the anniversary event, Prof. Khosla inaugurated the newly built Tagore Hall.
Additionally, Mr. Ashok Anand and Satish Anand, Foundation Trustees, inaugurated the Flower Festival, which featured an impressive display of more than 100 indoor plants. The collection included exotic plants, palms, succulents, bonsai, terrariums, and aromatic plants.

SILB signs MoU with HERI for Advanced Research and Skill Development

Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences & Business Management (SILB), Solan, has signed an MoU with the Himalayan Forest Research Institute (HFRI). The collaboration is intended for mutual collaboration to create a sustainable and prosperous future. The MoU was signed by Dr Sandeep Sharma (HFRI Director in charge) and Dr Shalini Sharma (Director of SILB). Some more participants during the event were Dr Ashwani Tapwal, a Scientist, Dr Bal Krishan Tiwari, a Scientist from HFRI, and Dr Shalini Sharma, Director of SILB. Additionally, the special invitee Professor P. K. Khosla, Prof Sunil Puri, from Shoolini University and Mrs. Saroj Khosla, Chairperson of SILB, and Heads of Departments from various disciplines at SILB were also present at the event.
Moreover, the MoU focuses on the following key areas:
- The joint research projects, scientific knowledge exchange, and collaborative research will address the critical environmental and scientific challenges. With the development of innovative solutions for environmental and climate challenges, the intention is to mitigate the impact of climate change.
- Skill Development Programmes are also included in the MoU, comprehensive training programmes to prepare a highly skilled workforce for the industries in the region. Promotion of Biotechnology and Life Sciences Industries, enhancing the growth of biotechnology and life sciences sectors through academic and practical advancements.

Placements: 100 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 6 LPA and the average package is 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are Torrent Pharma, Mankind, and Morepen. An internship depends on the student. The placement cell of the department is very good and works properly for providing good placement.
Placements: I am from the 2023 batch and the B.Com batch. 15 percent of students get placed in B.Com. The lowest package offered is 4 LPA. The highest package offered is 25 LPA. The average package offered is 14 or 15 LPA. Foreign companies hire the top students from the college.
Placements: Most students who desired to get placed got a placement. The highest package in the year 2020 was 5 LPA, and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Most of the students got an internship in our course. Top roles offered were Axis Bank, ICICI, and many other companies came as well.
Placements: 93 percent of students were placed in my college. The average package offered in my college ranges from 2 LPA to 12 LPA. Roles include data analyst, software developer, and other IT roles, web developer, data entry specialist, and programmer. Top recruitment companies like Microsoft, Infosys, and Wipro recruit from here.
Placements: Almost everyone got placed in good companies like Aditya Birla and IDFC First Bank, etc. Everyone has done their internship, as it is mandatory to be done by every student. To be a part of an internship, the top role offered for our course was Sales Executive.
Placements: Basically there all almost no placements in courses such as B.Sc. Zoology which I? M doing but for M.Sc. they can sit in placements. Roles offer in my course related to environment like environment consultant in biological park and areas. We can do internships in research companies. University is good in research people who want to go further in research they can go as university will help you very well in this.
