B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2028

It is a good college for AI & Data Science with a strong focus on practical skills.
Placements: Since I am in the second year, my batch has not yet gone through the final placement process. However, we see good efforts from the college for senior batches, especially in CS and AI & DS. The placement cell is active and forwards internship opportunities to us. We hear about companies like TCS, Infosys, and other Pune-based tech firms recruiting from campus. The college encourages us to build a strong portfolio. I am personally working on several web and app projects to prepare. The top roles offered to seniors are typically software developer, data analyst, and web developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the AI & DS department is quite good. We have dedicated computer labs with the necessary software for Python, C++, SQL, and web development, which I use regularly for my projects. The campus has Wi-Fi, which is essential for our research and coding. Classrooms are standard. The central library has a good collection of technical books. I don't personally use the hostel, but I've heard from friends that facilities are decent and the mess food is average. The campus canteen is good for snacks. There are also grounds for sports and other activities.
Faculty: Faculty in the AI & DS department are helpful and knowledgeable. Most teachers have a good grasp of their subjects, like Python, database management, and AI concepts, and are supportive if you approach them with questions. The teaching quality is good. I find the curriculum to be very relevant. It covers C++, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and databases (like SQL and MongoDB), which are all skills the industry demands. It definitely helps make us industry-ready, especially when combined with personal projects. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but they are manageable if you attend classes and labs regularly.
Other: The campus crowd is energetic. Many students focused on technical competitions and projects. There are various clubs. The college organizes technical events as well as cultural fests like the freshers’ party. The college, Siddhant College of Engineering, is located in Pune, which is a major IT hub, providing a good environment for engineering students.

Good faculty and placements.
Placements: I am from the CSE branch. Around 70% of students got placed. The highest package offered was 6LPA, the average package offered was 3.5LPA, and the lowest package offered was 2.5LPA. Top recruiters were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini. Many got internships in TCS and Codernet. Roles offered were Software Engineer and Analyst.
Infrastructure: The CSE was very deep. It had good labs with updated systems, Wi-Fi, digital classrooms & library access. The hostel had clean rooms, the mess food was average, but the canteen was better. Medical help was available on campus. Sports ground & indoor games were also provided. A special thing was the library, which was a peaceful place to study.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and supportive. Teaching quality was good with a practical focus. Curriculum was SPPU based, updated, and relevant, but needs extra skills for industry. Exams were moderate, and the pass percentage was usually around 80% to 85%. Seniors were also very helpful and supportive.
Other: I am from the CSE 2024 batch. I chose this course because of my interest in coding and IT career. The best part was practical learning, supportive faculty, and placements. Improvement was needed in internships and industry exposure. College had fests, teaching events, scholarships, a good campus crowd, and peaceful surroundings with decent connectivity.

Not so good faculty, placements are not so good, and decent infrastructure.
Placements: I am currently in the 2nd year of computer engineering. As far as I have seen placements are not that good. Only 10-20 students got placed but with a very low salary package of 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Our college also provides internships at TCS and Codernet, but they are unpaid. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. Companies that have recruited are TCS, Codernet, and Byju's. Around 10-15% of students got internships through campus in the last month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. Only the entrance can attract you. The building is not very good. There is no Wi-Fi for students. The lab is good. The library is not good for studying. I am in the hostel. The hostel facility is pretty good but the mess food is not that good.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are qualified and educated. They have knowledge. The course doesn't make students industry-ready because they only teach at a student level. Semester exams are not very hard. The passing mark is 40 of 100. Our faculty teaches everything for theory papers. The exam is conducted in the college only.
Other: The campus is big. It has a volleyball ground and a cricket ground. Many scholarships are available for students. If they want to apply, they can. The campus must be clean and have Wi-Fi for students.

Review of Siddhant College of Engineering.
Placements: Placement is less but faculty is good. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. There are not top companies but good startup companies hire from this college. Internship is in the third year by university. Developed role, Marketing role, and software role.
Infrastructure: All required facilities are provided by the college and infrastructure is good, and the surrounding is also good. Hostels provide all facilities but there is a need for a little improvement in the canteen. Food is average and feels are also high. Sports and games are conducted by the college.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and understand the situations of students; they cooperate with students. Teaching is above average. The curriculum is well-designed and is useful for students. The curriculum covers all topics required for industrial purposes and for future aspects also.

Avoid negative things; focus on positive things.
Placements: Placement is average. 20-30 percent of students are placed from my batch. The highest package is 9 Lacs and the lowest package is 2.5 Lacs. There are small companies; there are no big companies. There is compulsory internship in 3-year college provide guidance for that.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good and the surrounding is full of nature. Every department is good, but in some cases, there is no faculty for teaching. The hostel is good; all facilities are available in the hostel but it is very expensive. You can take a room on rent; it's better.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful; they support all students. The curriculum is decided by the university; it covers all core topics required for future use. Semesters are taken by the university and it has a moderate level; you can pass easily. Passing criteria will be 40 percent.
Other: All sports activities are performed.

Not good for placement if you have taken this college.
Placements: I feel disappoint with the placement opportunities offered by our college. The top companies that come for recruitment are IBM, TCS, Wipro, and others. However, the college doesn't help us much when it comes to finding internships. If they provide any assistance, it's usually for paid internships where we have to pay for the opportunity. Most of the students end up getting placed Through off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at our college is generally good, but there have been some maintenance issues lately. The arrival of new principal has led to significant changes. We now have Wi-Fi available, but we have to ask the teachers for the password. The computer labs are not in best condition, as some of the PCs are not working properly. Although there is a LAN network, the connectivity is unreliable. On a positive note, the hostel is well-maintained, and the ground is spacious and in good shape and outside student are not allowed in hostel even college student.
Faculty: Teacher was qualified and supportive mainly our HOD sir, semester exams are so difficult in our college and passing marks are 40 College is sppu under curriculum is little bit hard because most of the students showing their face only exam time I personally don't recommend this college for engineering.
