Sri Krishna College of Technology is in general Tier 2 in Indian engineering college ranking. Though it is producing quality engineers, the reputation of this college is good in Tamil Nadu, particularly for specific engineering streams, and does not usually stand in line with the elite Tier 1 ones like IITs or NITs. Nonetheless, technical education has benefited from it immensely and it commands very good placement records and facilities; of course, its popularity to destination students in the region for engineering degrees.

Also, categorized on the basis of entrance tests, the marks required for MBA at Sri Krishna College of Technology structurally differ. Selection criteria are categorized in a point system: 10 points for a bachelors degree with more than 50% passing percentage. The selection is done based on MAT (400+), XAT (40+), ATMA (80+), CAT, CMAT and TANCET. Over-all total program fees are INR 1.2 lakhs. Application fee is INR 500. Registration usually starts in the middle of the year with June, and sometime in July.
