Inside the Halls of Sahyadri Science College: A Student Perspective.
Placements: I would like to inform that since it is not an engineering college, no active placements were there. Throughout the 3 years, hardly we could expect 2-3 placement events, and those too in job fairs. Till now, as per my knowledge, I have seen TCS, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Companies came to hire the candidates, and a few candidates got hired successfully.
Infrastructure: Even though it's a government college, the college and hostels are well-infrastructured. Coming to classrooms, they are good, well-maintained, and spacious. The library is one of the biggest libraries, which consists of many books useful to students. Every year, the books in the library are updated. Labs are well-infrastructured. Coming to hostels, even though I didn’t stay in the hostel, I tasted the food from the hostel, brought by my friends. It was tasty, not as good as home food, but it doesn’t mean it was not edible.
Faculty: The teaching staff in each and every department are well-qualified, including guest lecturers. The teachers are really supportive of the students. Since I have not studied a technical course, I am not aware of whether the curriculum is useful for the industry. Coming to semester exams, they are of intermediate level—not too easy, not too difficult. If we had studied at least a little bit, we could try to pass.
Other: I had taken B.Sc. in PCM. I chose this course in this college because the teaching staff and library were good, which I got to know since my elder sister also studied here. Especially, the Mathematics department is really good. The staff and the way they teach are excellent and very supportive. Talking about the events, the college entertains extracurricular activities as well, including intra-college fests, inter-college fests, job fairs, and events. The campus is great and really nature-attractive, especially the Science college premises. The staff needs to support the students regarding scholarships.

Absolutely good college for students, who need a good college, with less fees.
Placements: There was no such placement option in this college, but they provided several opportunities, to get information about the companies. Faculty members provided several extra courses like, data analysis, python crash course etc. These made the students, ready for the interview.
Infrastructure: The college had unlimited, free Wi-Fi, with high speed. College canteen was clean, and provided healthy food. There were many sports opportunities for the students. Classrooms and labs were good. Hostel was pretty nice.
Faculty: Lecturers were kind and friendly. They help with your project. Courses belonged to the current trending topics, which helped the students. There was no difficult in semester exams. Passing mark was 21 out of 60, in the semester exam.
Other: The reason that I chose BCA is that, it is trending and a pocket friendly course, compared to engineering.

Review of SSC - Sahyadri Science College.
Placements: Students score high marks in their academics, but companies won't visit our college to recruit them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is normal. The lab is not good, so many students face problems. There are no particular rooms for the lab. The hostel is good and well-maintained. The hostel has a good atmosphere.
Faculty: Our teachers clear all our doubts very well. Their teaching quality is good. Exams are good. They complete the portion very fast. They understand students. They are very intelligent and well-knowledge.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in physics and maths. Our college conducts fests twice a year. They are held very well. Our college provides many different branches.

Review of SSC - Sahyadri Science College.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Byjus, YouTube, PW, Taj Hotels, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. Nearly 50% of students got internships in companies like PW, Byjus, and YouTube. Most of them got offered as lecturers in Byjus and PW.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility. Laboratory is average. Our classrooms are better, and the library is good. Hostel facilities are better. Our campus is huge. Medical facilities are very good, and sports are also available.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Our course curriculum makes students industry-ready. The exam papers are designed for the advancement of students which makes the papers extremely difficult. The pass percentage is 24%.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to become a lecturer. Our college offers jobs in the same college. Our college should improve placements for our course. Few events are conducted. Our campus crowd is huge. Our campus is surrounded by trees and a river. Scholarships are not provided in our college.

Review of Sahyadri Science College.
Placements: Our course was MPCs with 80 students. Placements are not offered. Many people got internships in companies like TCS and Wipro. We can go to the fields like testing programming, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There are computer labs and big classrooms. There are many books in the library and a separate computer lab to the library. Hostel facility is fine with good food. Around 8 people in a room.
Faculty: Teaching is pretty good. Faculty members are qualified and experienced. There are permanent faculty members as well as guest faculty members. All of them are resourceful and helpful. Syllabus is also good. Semester exams are medium difficulty. Pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: There are many cultural and sports clubs available. There is NCC, NSS, Rovers, Rangers red cross, and one more called Pathway. Pathways help you build your personality and train you for competitive exams like UPSC.

It is a good college with a green campus.
Placements: Placements depend on which course you have. As B.Sc. students, we don't get any placements there. The college did not lecture about recruitment or anything about companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and clean. The library is full of books, but we can find books related to our course. About 70% to 80% of books are available for a particular course. The hostels for boys and girls are situated closest to the college location, making it easy for students to roam between them. They have neatly maintained the hostel with hygiene. The labs are not very well maintained. You can't find the related instruments or chemicals for your experiment. That's all you have for a demonstration, which means a lack of instruments. There is no Wi-Fi for students. We can only access the internet in the computer lab, and mobile phones are allowed on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but mostly you will find guest faculty and average teaching quality. For six semesters, we get six exams and 12 internal assessment tests. The curriculum is related to industry and others, but only B.Sc. can't deliver a job. Further study is a must to get better work in future days.
Other: I was interested in microorganisms and the studies related to them, so I took a B.Sc. in microbiology. The best thing about B.Sc. is that you can learn about several microorganisms with an easy method, which creates awareness about how to deal with microorganisms in real life. It would be better if they improved lab facilities with well-experienced faculty to make them 100% effective in the study. The college every year celebrates a fest for cultural and sports development. The campus is pretty good, with green space, good infrastructure, a maintained garden, and a separate parking location for students. You will get a scholarship based on the course you are studying and the category to which you belong. Extracurricular activities may be seen in pathways; NCC, NSS, Red Cross, Rovers and Rangers, and other activities like drams, singing, culturals and sports can be seen. Participation is also high in the sports section.
