Q:   What is the eligibility to get admission in Amritsar Group of Colleges for UG/PG courses?
A: 
Amritsar Group of Colleges has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
CoursesEligibility
UG DiplomaThose candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination AND have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal are also eligible.
MCACandidates seeking admission to MCA should hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognised College/University. Candidates are eligible only if they have cleared graduation with any of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Statistics /Business Mathematics / Business Statistics / Quantitative Techniques Or Should have cleared BCA from any recognised University. Or Should have cleared one of the subjects out of (Mathematics/ Statistics /Business Mathematics / Business Statistics / Quantitative Techniques) as additional or optional subject in XII Grade or at Graduation level.
B.A.The candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream through a recognised Board / University / Council.
B.E. / B.TechThe candidates who have passed their 3-year Diploma in any branch of engineering are eligible for admission under this category.
BBAThe candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream through a recognised Board / University / Council.
B.ComThe candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream through a recognised Board / University / Council.
BCACandidates should have cleared their Matriculation examination along with a Diploma in any Trade from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh. Such examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal are also considered eligible for admission in BCA.
D.PharmaCandidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Biology/Mathematics subjects from any recognised institute/board. Or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to above mentioned examination.
B.Com LL.BCandidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board.
LL.B.A candidate must have a Bachelor degree from Guru Nanak Dev University or a degree recognised as equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate. The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses. The maximum age limit for the applicants for admission will be as decided by the Bar Council of India and approved by the syndicate from time to time.

MBA/PGDMCandidates must have passed Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline from a University recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and with valid rank in CMAT shall be eligible to apply for MBA course.

Is ACET value for money?
Placements: There are 22 students in our batch among which 2 of us got placed in a local company. The average package is about 3.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Khanna Paper Mill, Luminous, Ericsson, etc. We are offered engineer role in the company we got selected.
Infrastructure: Hostel building is quite new and semi-furnished. Maximum room capacity is 4. Wi-Fi is available for each two rooms and is quite slow. The food is vegetarian and no non-vegetarian food is available in the hostel. Cricket and football tournaments are organized every semester.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified. The overall teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is good but it may not make students industry-ready as a whole. Semester exams are moderate if compared to other universities. Pass percentage is 34%.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because I love it. I chose this college because I got admission on scholarship provided by the state government called JKSSS. Under this, I got admission randomly to the college.

Good faculty members, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: 75% of students got placed. The highest package is 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary is 3.5 LPA. Recruiting company is Supple Tek. 70.75% of students got internships. There are many roles like you can be a teacher after completing M.Sc. Many students got placements in Supple Tek. Many students get higher and lower positions according to their eligibility basis. There are many courses available in the college. Many students got paced in many industries like fertilizer industry like Supple Tek company which exports the price in one country to another. You can take admission there if you want. Many students get placements from the college.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library are well-managed. Infrastructure is also good. Fresh food and medical facilities are well. There are canteen and mess on the campus. A playground is also available on the campus. Fast food is also available in the canteen and many varieties of food are available.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified. Curriculum is relevant. It makes students ready for the industry. Exams are not easy but okay.

Right place for a bright career.
Placements: According to College Deep, the placement of students is one hundred percent, but according to me, only 16% of students got placed in good company. The highest package is 46 Lacs. Whereas the average package is 3 to 4 Lacs in the course. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, HCL, and Sectra, and there was fewer opportunities for internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is there, labs are there, classrooms are fully air-conditioned, and there is a library. The canteen is also good. The food in the hostel is average, and the facilities are good. Various sports and games are held regularly.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is good. Yes, this course is very relevant, and it makes us industry-ready. The level of exams is average. Almost 70 to 80 percent of students pass, and in exams, the questions are based on what they teach in our classes.

Good college to study and enjoy colldge life fully.
Placements: Placement rate is high and packages are good. There were many recruiters including Bajaj Finance, Amazon and Flipkart. Many of my friends got a chance for internships and are fully satisfied.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were nice and tidy, there were many labs, an e-classroom specifically for some remote class from the teacher that were teaching in the college remotely through webniars etc. Library had the most good environment, we always got together here to complete our notes.
Faculty: Teachers were good and helping, curriculum was more theory and was simple and straightforward, the exams were not that difficult and retests were conducted so everybody passes the exam, the teaching quality was average, teachers wanted students to ask questions .

A college with good facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placements. The highest salary package offered is 42 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, and many more. There are several roles offered as per companies' requirements and students skills. Training and internships are also provided.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in our college like Wi-Fi, all kinds of labs, E-classrooms, a library with wide collections of books, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a canteen, and many more. The hostel has great infrastructure and provides healthy food. Many tournaments are held in the hostel.
Faculty: We have well-qualified faculty members who have great experience. Their teaching methods are very good. The semester is not tough if students follow teachers' guidelines and attend all classes. The course is relevant for further and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because it has a potential in future. Every new day in our college is with new learning. As of now, countless events and fests are held here. Academic, cultural, social, and entrepreneurial events are held in our college. Different communities are here which organise all events.

Placements: There was 100% placement in my batch. The highest package was 40 lacs per annum, the lowest was around 5 lacs per annum, and the average package was 6 lacs per annum. The top recruiters were Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Siemens, etc. Thank you.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library for its courses. Hostel facilities generally include Wi-Fi, basic accommodation, and a secure environment, with messes serving a variety of hygienic meals. Sports, medical facilities, etc., are there.
Faculty: Faculty are generally qualified and knowledgeable, with a focus on student support. The curriculum is designed to be industry relevant, emphasizing practical skills to prepare students for their careers. Semester exams are moderately challenging.
